That looks very similar to the one available at the Castrol Bike Zone (made for Karizma)...!

U suggested abt getting in balance with all 3 points.
    Can u suggest something?
Is there any way by which we can adjust the seating position or anything to improve the posture?
This was discussed heavily during the first few pages of this thread and before the server crash. See, I made it from Hyd to Mumbai (700 KMs) in 13 hours with a tank bag, a medium sized bag tied on back seat and a backpack too... not to mention all the gear. The trouble I had was with knees that needed some stretching and vanished in an hour and the flesh at mid palm section had mild pain when touched... this too vanished by the next morning. Even that pain was in due to heavy amount of braking and gear changes involved on the NH-9. I did the return journey in 12 hours.

Ah, yes, the sore butt (under thighs) needed a good rest too.

    BTW, I am 5' 8.5" and weigh about 75KGs.

The key for me is to push my weight on to the foot-rests, lean forward keeping my back straight, bent elbows and light grip on the handlebar. Yes, this position is difficult to maintain in City due to stop & go nature of bike movement!

Yeah, the lights in pilot lamps are in a push type connector. I have noticed that at times they get loose and a push inside is good enough to get it working.

Yes, I am still in two minds... I should have been there for the Mumbai G2G. But then, we did have good fun in Hyderabad at that time along with the Passion Hunt team

Yamaha Tank Pad is available in Venkatesha Motors for Rs 700. I checked it 1 week back. But I'd recommend you to get your tank pad from DSG. The Yamaha Tank Pad is really bad (including looks).

Thanks for checking the availability. I have seen the DSG tank pads&they do look nice, but I prefer the Yamaha tankpad since I have a single seat cowl also&both match up to each other perfectly.

Edit: My friend has picked up the tank pad from Venkatesha Motors just now. I don't know why they always say they don't have stock, but if you go there, they have it!Anyways, alls well that ends well.
Here is a piece of advice for people getting teflon coating/autoglym done on their R15s. DO NOT allow the buffing machine to go anywhere near your tank protector/single seat cowl. The machine rips off the sticker on them. Now you know what happened to mine!

We all have observed that the sound comes continuously when parked in the sun. Looks like the fuel pump is acting funny! Try opening the fuel cap&closing once as soon as you park it-the sound should subside with that. If not, you may have to stop parking it in the sun henceforth. I was also parking it in the sun&heard the sound continuously many times.

That's the effect of Chennai summers effect on Technology mate. I guess its happening due to vapor lock. I hear funny sounds when the bike is parked in the sun. What I do is open the fuel cap for a few seconds and close it. Helps in the escape of fuel vapor. Start it and it will not stall. Try it!

Accha, can I use 'waxpol' to polish my bike? I mean even on the matt finish panel? And how do you polish a bike? just apply the polish and rub it over with a rag till it spreads evenly right?
                          You get the point?? :D

You can use Waxpol, but DO NOT use it on the matt finish portions. It is also mentioned in the manual.
Don't rub it with a dirty rag, as this could cause the dust particles to settle on the paint causing hairline scratches&defeating the purpose of polishing it!
For best results, I use the yellow cloth (that they sell at signals).
For rubber/plastic you can use a car dashboard wax polish spray to get rid of the whitening.
Method to use the wax polish is also written mostly on the back, but still I'll put it in here:
                            1. Squueze out drops/apply cream in a few spots on one part of the bike eg.tank top portion.
                            2. Spread it evenly using your fingers/that woolen type of thing which paint shops have (it looks like pillow inside material)
                            3. Wait for a minute for the polish to dry/settle
                            4. Rub well with dry soft cloth to a glossy finish!
Some powdery parts may still be left over on the edges, you can rub there again with the soft cloth.
Don't spread out the polish over the entire bike, do it one part at a time. If the polish solidifies, it will be a bit difficult to get it to shine.

                              • @Saravjit-I was the one who had got the Yamaha Chain Lube from Pune. About your degreaser question, I have used Motul Chain cleaner to remove the Motul lube from the chain and then sprayed Yamaha Chain Lube. Clean the chain completely before applying the yamaha lube and also clean and lube the front sprocket.

@renny-The SS guys has asked me to maintain more than 2l of fuel in the tank.
