Called up pacer motors again. Asked him not to do anything and just change engine-oil. According to him everything is computerised and would fix the issues in no time. Now he is asking me to atleast check the swingarm(as my silencer is banged up). Without the chassis rectification, it would take Rs 3000 it seems.

Need to check with another service center (probably perfect-riders).
WTF mate, get the bike out of there first and is it panache or pacer

Interesting computerized fundaes huh... tell him that you don't have the money to do anything just change the oil and get out of there . see what the other service guys have to say.

            • Am actually doubtful if ur ASC means that the chassis is mis-aligned or the wheels are mis-aligned. By his description it looks like he is just aligning ur wheels!!! Am yet to find a computerised chassis re-alignment system that fixes it all up in minutes.....

Am doubtful if the ASC buggers took it for a spin, crashed it and are trying to screw u to set it right. Is ur silencer that badly banged up and hope u do have a mental note of the places the bike had scratches in!!!

I do remember the scratches. Will try to take pics of what these SC guys consider as 'bends'.. lets see tomorrow..

                • [quote=navnish;165211]get it checked buy someone else man.. yamaha service doesnt know what they are doing.. simply time waste...

I too had a crash around 21 days back.

it was a severe 1 in terms of damage to the bike but nothing happened to the frame or the chasis.

while riding later howerver i found that the handle & front faring weren't aligned hence asked the ss to change the headlight stay.

now problem is solved ,still like 2% there is a misallignment .that is something I have to live with after the fall as no human hands can probably match the factory fittings.

and yes the ss guys and mechanics are a bunch of idiots.no doubt in that.

The indicator is not 100% accurate. For me 'sometimes' the reserve sign (-F)comes up with 3 fuel bars up.

Take a look at the tank shape, its broad on top, so if you think 2 lts can be adjusted then its actually 4 lts that can be adjusted.

It is 12 lts. Dont argue for 11.9 hope it helps.

                      • @darkknight - I am having the same alignment problem as you had. The front windscreen is also vibrating a lot. Should I change the HL Stay? This had happened after a crash long time back.

@harshaguduru - Whose bike's tank is it? Really bad. How much does a tank cost BTW?

                        • Guys need help here again, regarding the gloves I was discussing before, I am getting them at a very tempting cost of Rs 1500/-, sound value for money to me now, what do you people suggest.

no idea about the price of the tank..saw the bike in pieces when i took mine for service..had another pic of the rest of the bike in broken parts, but seemed to have deleted it somehow...but it was in a bad state..however..they said that they are just refitting all the broken parts..the bike was in pearl Yamaha in Hyderabad, so other members may have more info..

                            • The Delta Box Chassis is 200 pc rigid compared to regular chassis.
That does not mean that it cant get bent.

Its not what speed u fell , its about how the impact was,

There are all possibilities that the chassis could have bent.
But thing with computer is Bull shit.

If there is a bend and u feel it , then insurance, else just ride the bike if u dont feel aything.

The mags could be bent, Did u hit a pot hole with a pillion at 100 for swingarm to bend?
or someone rammed into u from behind ?

Ride the bike at 40 , see if the bike is pulling to one side , see if ur braking is alright.

                              Santa
