@all - adding my experience with related to after market mods.
Anyone who has done any after market mods like simota or K&N after the bike is done more than 18000 kms, has observed that after you install the filter and use it for 1500 + kms suddenly the gear shifting becomes a bit hard the clutch, tappets adjustments and hard gear lever has to be adjusted frequently.
If yes then the air filter is not matching the required AFR, so time to replace the stock back before the piston and the clutch goes out of life.

Hi Guys!!
Posting after a very long time.
There's a stain mark on my bike's tank just above the part where the tank pad ends. Don't know how that came but it isn't getting off.
I tried rubbing with a damp cloth but of no use.
Is there anything which can help me to remove the stain. Please help me out here

@jairaman12: Dip the tip of a cloth in petrol&wipe softly, else if you know how to use rubbing compound it'll do the trick!
@k 72: Not available in Yamaha. Trace the outline for size from a bike. Get it made outside from a local vinyl shop&after sticking, get the part clear coated if you wanna make it permanent.

Are you sure about the 9amp Battery on R15? coz I was under the impression that the stock R15 without any modification to the magneto unit, can charge and utilize only upto 5Amps. To use a 9amp battery we have to re-wind to stepup power, change the wiring harness and fuse unit, and also make alterations to the box to fit the battery. Coz a 5Amps battery is a precise fit to the stock battery box (after removing the sponge in it)

^^^ as I mentioned in my previous posts, it will not charged fully through the bike. You will need to ensure a full charge by charging it every 8 to 9 months. As far as fitting is concerned, I have mentioned that it not fit without changes.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Rvm
Hi guys,
Today while riding to office, my right Rear View Mirror came off suddenly. Luckily the mirror didn't break. But now I am wondering how the mirror is connected to the stem. I cannot see any thread in my mirror part which came off. I am not sure if the thread setup had broken when it fell.
Any idea how the mirror is connected to the stem(iron rod)? Thought of trying it by myself if it is possible before taking to the service center.

Its unfortunate Bro, You have no other option other than replacing the side mirror with the stem. Cost will be about 250 approx. Its a factory fit and cannot be redone.

Got similar answer from Service station. Paid 250/- (MRP is 251/- ) and changed it today itself. Can't live without right RVM and also seeing the empty stem was adding to my pain. Now I am having RVMs with two different shades of black

Vibrations
Guys need some help regarding vibrations on my 36.5k km old R15. Well the vibrations level is now close to that of what you get in a RTR (No offense intended). I'd checked my tappets n engine mounting bolts in my last service at 35.5k km. Also as my bike was sounding a bit different the SC guys checked and discovered a few cracks on the rubber pipe (mentioned as "JOINT" in the bill and part no 20P.E4453.00) that feeds air from the air filter box. They guessed the vibrations might have been due to these cracks but as they didn't have it in stock then, I replaced it today. Even after replacing, the vibrations are still there. Lubed the chain at home today but still i can feel vibrations in the handlebars, foot pegs and tank. I'm still on the first set of chain-sprocket and clean/lube it religiously every 500km. Could it be due to worn out chain-sprocket??
The SC guys say its in good shape and can easily last another 5k km
