If you say the engine very smooth then the only thing comes to my mind is the Engine stay bush
Yep the engine is revving freely. Can you throw some light on engine stay bus??
And could it be due to worn out chain-sprocket, just a thought...

Did you checked the Bearing of both tyres, chain sprocket and is it regularly oiled ?

Also check for fork adjustments and the mono shock.

I suspect there is rust or some other crap at the contact points of your engine kill switch, causing some sort of shorting. I used to have similar situations during my days in mumbai monsoons. It can be sorted by spraying wd-40 or the assembly can be opened up and the contacts be mildly sanded. Caution* dont let the service fellows fool you into replacing the whole assembly as its not necessary, because its a serviceable unit.
Thanks buddy.. I suspect the same... Thanks for your information... I will do it myself this weekend.

Can say that one cannot regret after using it.
Vibrations have come down to a great extent, the engine is revving more freely than ever.
In one line,it is VFM @Rs600.

              • @All: Guys get the allen bolts on the disc plate tightened once in a while-my bike's rear wheel got locked up today bcoz the bolts came out loose&started touching the opposite side metal piece. It could have been serious if it happened at a higher speed.

                  • @Freakzil: My pleasure. But dont attempt to open up the assembly yourself. It didn't appear easy when the mechanic was reassembling mine.

it cant be.. i think something was wrong with your disc plate then.. because those allen bolts are gas welded, they cant come-off, i remember when i had broken my alloy wheel in an accident, and was getting the old disc plate set on the new alloy, it just wouldnt comeoff without heating them.

                          • Well, in my case i was given default NGK iridium head plugs as i replaced it in 10 k kms and costed me bill of 625 with labour, and i confirmed its NGK iridium head spark plugs. Mine is 2010 nov batch model.

I also heard that the V2 also comes with ngk iridium head plugs by default, if you dint got it than may be you have to check with your dealer.

                            • They are not gas welded but the bolts are tough to remove at YMSC. I had mine removed twice by the wheel shop (they remove it pretty easily) for rim throughing/painting.
Before the wheel locked up I could hear them rubbing against the opposite side.
In case any of you get them removed for disc plate replacement or anything else, be sure to fit them back as tightly as possible with the big size allen screw.

Did I/anyone say that it doesn't come with NGK spark plugs? Check the previous posts and see for yourself, before giving suggestions like "check manual and see for yourself".

May be they thought you were the Indian version of C.Stoner. Nonetheless I strongly feel you got your facts wrong. If iridium spark plugs are standard in R15s since 2010 nov batches, why is it that none of the SVCs i have been to, not keeping it in stock??
