lean angle will not be a problem but it will wear away very fast, it will go almost treadless at 6k+, so no use changing it for pirelli, u might rather look at ceat vertigo, you will have to compromise a little on the lean angle but its pretty robust, will handle offroads well too, tyre life is pretty good, 20k kmsOriginally posted by shrinathrao View Postsigpic

After my bike's service last week with entire conset set up and FI cleaning and set up blah ...blah...!!!
My bike was't stable as it use to be earlier. Went to my old Yamaha SVC dombivili and he rectified it, that front wheel bearings were kaput.
Changed it with new both bearing for front costed for Rs 325/-
now bike is good and riding perfect!!

I guess someone messed with your rpm idling screw, set it again to normal with the bike running for 5 + mins.Originally posted by power9 View PostGuys,
i did not use R15 for 7 days and it was parked under shade. Now when i start the bike, the idle RPM is at ~3500 rpm. I let it run for sometime, still it is not coming down to ~1300 rpm.
Any idea what could be wrong?

Can someone explain what that is ?Originally posted by power9 View PostThanks for response.
I tried the Idle Screw. It didn't work. Even if closed fully, idling rpm was ~3500 rpm.
I took it to Yamaha ASC, they solved it and it appears that the issue was with Throttle cable routing !

Changed my chain sprocket set today at 37k kms... The new one was of Rolon make and costs about 1200 bucks. The rubber bush of the rear wheel was also replaced as it was worn out.Now the SC guys had a hard time fitting the front sprocket as the two holes in the sprocket were not fitting perfectly. At the end they just put one screw and left the other hole vacant. When I asked about the same they replied that the new sprockets of rolon make require only a single screw. Is it true or are they trying to cover it up??

Think like this, 2 holes on the sprocket and two holes on the bike for fitting it too. then how would putting one screw be enough..? Sounds like they are just messing with you man. Look into the issue more seriously, if the sprockets are not fitted correctly they might fall off during riding. You dont want that , do you ?Originally posted by chiku181 View PostChanged my chain sprocket set today at 37k kms... AFAIK the DID manufactured chain-sprocket kit costs 2.8k and that of ROLON costs 1.2k.Originally posted by somen1984 View PostWhat !!!!! 1200Rs only!! Mine was changed last month and it was charged for 3200Rs...

Thats what I thought too but then the 2 screws weren't fitting. Only one was going through the hole and other wasn't. Anyways will take my bike to SC again tomorrow.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostThink like this, 2 holes on the sprocket and two holes on the bike for fitting it too. then how would putting one screw be enough..? chain sprockets are different for 20P1 and 38B1, and yes they cost different as well.

Pirelli has a same sized but wears out in 6k kms, apart from that ceat vertigo is a better choice yeah but the stock tyre kinda lean he wont get and the handling will suffer a bit as the tyres are a major part of R15 V1 characteristics.Originally posted by mayukh92 View Postcan someone please tell that for R15 1.0 which rear Tyre is best except of the stock one? one of my freind needs rear Tyre.... where to find the prescribed one in kolkata... thanks in advance..

The button type Vertigo is not my choice-though it may last longer, grip&lean angles will surely be compromised like you said.
Contigo makes stock sizes for front&rear, but the wet grip is bad as per reviews.
Though my tyres are pretty new&now the air leakage problem also seems to be solved, I'm trying to find out other options for next time in advance.
I remember Neil&I had posted long back about various tyre options but now availability seems an issue even for the stock tyres!
That apart, I have ordered for the RHS control switch which has a loose contact.
