Well no if the battery is weak FI will not kick in, as when you start the bike, FI extracts the maximum power out of the Battery. But if battery is quite old and the FI is unable to extract the required power then it may not start at all.

The misbehaving issue of FI can happen due to bad fuel or malfunction of FI.

Guys can you tell how much engine oil approx does your R15 consume for every 3-4k kms ?
Mine is 09 model , consumes about 400ml, has done 81k kms and I used 300V till the last service but switched to Yamalube full synthetic oil.
I ride quite hard and was wondering if the 400ml oil consumption is normal ?

81K on the stock bore? Thats amazing . I have rebored twice and replaced rings once in my 92k run pulsar 180. I am fed up with regular issues and moved to R15 though there is no upgrade in power. Hope Yammie never disappoints me.

I found the new cheaper fully synthetic to last less on my R3. I changed it in 3K kms.
And fully synthetic oils are thinner, sometimes needing top up.
If your bike has had it's oil changes on time, the bore kit will easily cross a lakh of kms.
