Yamaha YZF-R15 Rear Tyre replacement with CEAT Zoom 100/90-17 55 P

Dear fellow riders, hope you guys are revving through the streets and scrapping knees on tracks safely.

I had to change the rear tyre of my r15-v1 which got punctured in late night and as it was already worn out, I had no choice but to change it from the nearest tire shop I could find. I was looking for the stock rear tire for several days but failed to get one. Then I was looking for other options and found this link helpful RearTyre Options

As it was late night before EID vacation and it was kind of an emergency so I went for the only option I had... CEAT ZOOM 100/90 17, 55 P
CEAT ZOOM 100/90 17 tubeless

Even though it was tubeless, they had put a tube inside it. It all happened cause of my stupidity. I was helping them to lift the bike on side stand and was very tensed about the whole set-up without scratching the rim or the bike, they somehow convinced me that it needed a tube inside! I was pretty exhausted that night and I lost focus, thus this idiotic thing happened.

I have no Idea about this 17 inch CEAT ZOOM rear tyre.

Will it damage the rim or is it very risky to ride the bike with this tubeless tire with a tube that might hamper the suspension/handling!!!
I've done a little check like riding her without holding the handles and she stayed on straight line.

1. How much risk do I have, riding her with a tube in this tubeless tyre ?
2. I've got another option to change the rear tyre with p220's MRF, so... should I change from CEAT ZOOM to MRF please help me out.

It would be much helpful if you guys can put some light on it.

any v1 owner here using v2's front tyre on their v1
actually v1 stock tyre which is 80/90-17 is not available in kolkata..........
so is there any alternative tyre available
kindly suggest all v1/v2 user
what front tyre you guys are using apart from stock tyre which is zapper fy 80/90-17

Yes I'm using the v2 front tyre on v1 front. The bike become even more flickable . The grip good of this tyre as well.

Better try to do it yourself. It's very easy to fit . I often change from stock to LEOVINCE GP CORSA on my v2 myself and it takes not more than 30 min. For me now.
Of course at first time it took me whole 2 hours to swap . But be extremely careful while fitting and try not to damage exhaust mount gasket .

R15 Version1.0 is relaunched with the older design of single seat, 10 mm lower saddle height, 5 kg lighter weight, and smaller wheelbase, but other specs & price are same-

Except for the fact that this belongs to the V.2 thread, because the engine is the same as V2.

And so is the silencer, tyre, swing arm etc.
I believe there will be some posts now, thinking of R15 V1 to R15-S conversion!
Like there were when V2 was launched.

I for one, am happy that our model made a comeback.
I'm gonna enjoy it till it lasts (forever)

Hi, I Have an 09 R15 that's done about 80k kms. It wasn't used for a month before giving it to the SVC to change sprockets, engine oil and oil filter.. Problem is after getting it back im getting a mileage of 20-25 kmpl only
Before giving it to the SVC i was easily getting 40+ kmpl. Bike performs the same as before.

Bike has been running on 300V for the past 4 years but this time the service guy convinced me to put yamalube SS..
The bike has never ever given me any trouble and Im totally lost as what to do next
Does anyone what is the problem? Please help.

No, the chain is fine. It had got a bit loose, but tightened it.
Still getting bad mileage

Try to check if the air filter has been replaced as well or not. And when you were with 300V why did you change to SS? Also hows the clutch performing after 80K? Any change in fuel?

Have anybody tried the seat of another bike to r15 v1 as direct fit on it.
M looking for seat replacement as its stock seat is not so comfortable.
