You are the first person I am hearing say this...is your seat in good condition?
Coz the stock seat is very comfortable.

Yes it is in good condition as stock.
But with less cushion as always. Last week i was trying to fit honda triger seat. It was very comfy but not fitted properly.

        helloo brothers,

I have recently replaced the R15 Radiator and refilled the coolant, for the first 1000 kms it was doing good, but now i observed that once i start crossing the speed of 100 the engine warning orange indicator is glowing and stays on at times unless i turn the ignition off with the key and on it again.

Showed to kings yamaha service at baner but they also could not resolve that, as yamaha factory shop at wakdewadi is closed i have no other options.

Requesting you all to guide me with the same.

There is one kamla yamaha near to sterling honda, give a try there. I have not heard any complaints regarding the service from my friends who owns fz.

Kamla yamaha in Mumbai also is a reputed name for servicing the bikes. So the asame will be the case with kamla.yamaha pune.

          Cheers,

You need to get the FID diagnostic tool connected and check for the exact error code Bro. It has the problem code with the number and pattern of beeps.
From the outside, they can at the max check the engine oil and coolant levels, gaskets etc. Which I'm sure was already done.

The air filter was changed a year ago.
They did not have stock of 300V and dont accept any oil from outside and the mechanic told me SS will do for R15 and 300V is not required.
No change in fuel. Always alternating between shell and HP.

The clutch plates were replaced for the second time at about 72k kms.

Still getting terrible mileage (around 26-27kmpl)

              • R15 overheating and battery drain

                Ello xBhpians!, been a while..

Help from Bangalore members would be very much appreciated.

My R15 v1 (bought 2009, run 55000 kms) has been acting up recently. The radiator fan switches on at peak traffic, and has caused the battery to die in a couple of occasions, forcing me to push start. Now, I have changed the battery since, taken it to a couple of SVCs (they didn't identify the issue and said it had to do with engine oil), made sure the coolant level is up to mark, but the issue still remains.

I'd have purchased a high end coolant but I want to absolutely rule out any other issues before doing so. SO, can any member here help me out, or point towards someone with a thorough knowledge of what they're doing in Bangalore; I'd be very much grateful.

                Best,
                Tony

                  Listen bro
                  get your stator assembly checked
cause no matter how much duration the radiator turns on it shouldn't drain the battery out

i had the same problem with mine
got the coolant and radiator checked all were fine even changed the battery and it still had problems

lastly they checked the stator assembly and found of 4 coils were busted

so they changed the stator assembly which was roughly around 3,000 bucks and now the bike works fine

ps stator assembly is the charger which converts magnetic energy into electric and the bike mainly works on it

Or, if you want to get a cheaper solution, get the stator coil rewound outside for a few 100s...

Awesome, do you guys have a clue as in where I can get this checked in Bangalore? Don't quite trust random SVCs anymore. Thanks again.

Check your thermostat and run a hose pipe through the cooling system to check for blockages, you'll also need to check the head gasket and water pump gaskets and seals, also you'll need to test the water pump is working. There is also a relay I think the blue one which if it fails can also cause the symptoms. Also you should be checking the engine oil level weekly.

Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Has anyone used a 65w setup for the headlights? Any damage to the reflectors? Touring during night and early morning with the stock headlights is horrifying. Any solutions?

Just install p220 projectors and forget. It comes with H7 55w tube.

Its much better than projector avaliable in open market.

Always use relay while using higher wattage tube light to avoid damage to light switches.

I installed amron green color battery with same specifications. Yes it perform well. At low speed i use left side headlight only other wise both light at highway.
