  • Drop in fuel efficiency

Got my bike serviced a few days back and since then i have seen a drop in power as well as fuel efficiency (dropped from 40 kmpl to 30 kmpl) any suggestion on what might be contributing to this. the bike was bought second hand about a year ago and has run about 31000 km till date. recent changes in the bike -

    1. chain kit changed 1 month ago (ridden 3k kilometers since then)
    2. free flow exhaust (leo vince gp corsa) replaced with stock exhaust
    3. rear break pads changed

    Any response would be helpful

bro most probably your disk pad are main problem. as it scratching with disk rotor continously. as u r feeling less power and milage.
check wheel free rotation using paddock stand.
mee too facing the same problem (i can't touch disk rotor even after 1 kms ride due to hot) last month but after 200 kms the new pads got settled .
Try to apply some lubricant at disk pin.

I have the EXACT problem except that my bike has run much much more. Brakes aren't the problem for me. I have no clue what to do next. Please share with us if you find the problem.

Please get the clutch opened up and checked. Then replace whatever is necessary, like clutch plates, centrifugal plates, pressure plates etc.
Then see the old smoothness and power coming back!

Thanks this helped, the old milage and power has returned after the 300kms of running.

Good purchase. I somehow feel that the initial r15 were much more potent that the v2/v3 (it's all my bias). I own a 2011 model with 39k km done. As I have other bikes and tent to ride her once in 2-3 months. She feels rock solid. It's almost like brand new. Although I've kept her well hence recently a friend of mine was asking me to sell her for 62k I'm contemplating over it as I am not riding her these days.

The best thing that I like about her is the reliability. And I'm sure you guys would also vouch for it.

                      Have a nice day!

                        Hi,
I am really got confused between R15 and RS200.
I like RS200 because easy to ride,ABS,200cc,features and VFM and R15 due to sheer quality and reliability but very much concerned about riding posture, may cause back pain due to heavy Bangalore traffic,no abs and 150cc so please help me in deciding.
Bike will be 98% city ride.
                        Thanks in advance.

The new R15 is similar to the Version 1 and it's very comfortable. You would face similar stress as you would get on Pulsar RS200.

I'v taken my R15 to various locations in the Himalayas and ridden on treacherous roads entrusted to Mana Pass, it never broke sweat and I can personally vouch for the quality as there is not a single bit of rattling noise from the fairing. Pulsars have a lot of plastics and these plastics are oddly placed.
