Guys, i have a problem with my R15.. a few days back i took out my bike after nearly 4 weeks but the bike refused to start. Called up a mechanic.. since the headlight was working fine so i guess there's no battery problem. The mechanic pushed my bike for a while and it started.. but then again after turning it off, it didn't start again/ he said that maybe its because of the blown fuse.Today, i replaced the fuse to but still no use. My bike is 1.5 years old. Any suggestions?God left this place a long time ago..

The taste of the pudding is in the eating.
There are changes in the ECU & some changes in the internals (including sprockets).. How these multitude of changes affect the performance can only be ascertained by riding the bike.
ECU: If there were considerable changes in the ECU, it WOULD reflect in the horsepower figures.
Sprockets: That means either sluggish acceleration or a lower top end.

How about ECU(Not exclusively) for more bottom and mid end.Originally posted by Parth View PostECU: If there were considerable changes in the ECU, it WOULD reflect in the horsepower figures.

Sprockets(not exclusively again) for more top end??Jimmy smokes crack and I do not care!

The racing colours were told to have better low end torque than the previous batch of bike (read 20P1). That was on account of some tweaks in the ECU. Were the racing colour bikes more powerful - NO.Originally posted by Parth View PostECU: If there were considerable changes in the ECU, it WOULD reflect in the horsepower figures.

There are hell lot of changes made on the V2.0. I maintain that we can't (& shouldn't) judge the performance purely based on paper figures.
Wait for a comprehensive ride report.
I'm not even saying that the V1 performs better, or vice-versa.

My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240
The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

There is an increase in the wheelbase and a teeny weeny jump in torque figures and a new swing-arm.
Increase in wheelbase coupled with new swingarm might provide better handling properties. The bike as per few folks appears bigger than the current iteration.
@shrinath - we are discussing this as the V1 would be replaced by this, hence...

@everyone - Tell me one thing how many have actually test rode the V2?
See the V2 is gonna hit the pune showrooms on 15th september for test rides as discussed with Yamaha Factory shop here in pune, so consecutively i think it would be hitting other cities too. So ride it and than pour the suggestions instead of copying and pasting here whats wrote on other sites.
This will bring a healthy discussion on our ownership forum.
