I saw Slime recently in the SVC. Costed some 640 bucks. Didn't feel it was worth it, considering how many punctures I can get repaired at the same cost. Nothing is fool proof anyway.Originally posted by shrinathrao View PostCan someone suggest a good anti puncture solution for r15 tyres.

Help please!
Hello Friends,
Since last few days, I am facing problems while gear shifts.
The gear sometimes stuck while shifting after 2nd gear (up as well as down)and shifting became hard as well. Sometimes there is a loud thak sound while shifting as well.
Please help or suggest what to check

@ freerock - do you regularly lube the chain ?
@ everyone - Has anyone tried lubing the chain with the same lube that mechanics use for lubing 100 cc commuter bikes. Its that oil which is drained from the engine once its life is over. If anyone is using the same please share your experiences

Yes if the chain is loose then the sound will come, get it lubed and adjusted, and keep us updated.Originally posted by free2rock_50 View Postbro.. done only 9500km on ODO.. today is my 5th Service date.
checked the chain and it is loose .. is that what is creating the problem ? the chucking noise while shifting ?
Never happened this way, is their any sound one the right side of engine where the clutch outer is. and how many kms have you ridden, did you get any clutch adjustment done.Originally posted by Sauravh View PostHello Friends,

yes I have tried it but only while touring when at times, I forgot to get chain lube with me or the chain lube is over. Its alright in case you dont get the lube, for regular use I wont recommend it.Originally posted by shrinathrao View PostHas anyone tried lubing the chain with the same lube that mechanics use for lubing 100 cc commuter bikes. Resale price of Version 1.0
Hi Guys! What is your take on the effect of the Version 2.0's launch and the resale price of our Version 1.0s?
Half a mind tells me it will take a hit as the new one is more desirable and there will be very few takers for the old version, but another half tells me that the price is bound to remain at the same level (or maybe even increase) as the Version 1.0 is a more practical bike for our market.
It is not that I want to sell my bike, but just want to invite an intellectual discussion about the effect of the Version 2.0 launch on the older one.

I have faced this issue several times, and it has always been due to improper/insufficient lubrication of the chain.Originally posted by Sauravh View PostHello Friends,

Apply chain lube, and there are bright chances the shifting smoothness will get enhanced, & the sound will disappear.
Also oil & clean the gear shift lever if there is too much muck around it.
If all this doesn't help, walk into the SVC, & get the gear lever removed & re-installed. I have got this done as well, and the result was positive.
Hope this helps.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Intellectual discussion?
I think the resale is going to remain same or increase, as the new R15 is more expensive than the old one demand will be more.
As it is R15 V1 was out of reach for some off the shelf.
There are always after-market mod kits available&most of the posers get fatter tyres anyway!
I have seen an R15 modded to look just like an R1. It actually looked good.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
