when you're on the climb...the only gears available to you would be 1st, 2nd at maybe the 3rd. these are the only gears which will produce the sufficient torque but believe you me, it is not a great idea at all to let her go through this much of stress during the run-in period. Have some patience and let her glide during the run-in period. Haven't even mentioned the pillion cos that according to me is a big no-no in the ghats.Originally posted by Prakritij View PostThank you but will there be enough torque available in low rpms to ride on hills? my place is somewhere in the western ghats

You mean you need the headlamp cowl. It costs Rs.388.Originally posted by Anant View PostHi all,
can anyone tell me the price of front head light assembly frame only,, on which light assembly is mounted ??
Do you have the 4 plastic visor nuts? If not, then add Rs.~20*4 for them.
The allen screws on the sides are ~Rs.65 each.
If you have damaged the visor, it costs Rs.125.
See that the rubber pipes which hold the dome nuts from behind&go into the speedo flap are still there, else the plastic nuts cannot simply be screwed onto the front cowl. If those are broken, add Rs.78*4 for them.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Two Brothers Exhaust transformed into Carbon Fiber!
hey guys! I had installed a two brothers (aluminium) exhaust on my R15 (it has been 3 months).
But i m damn excited about my recent mod to it. CARBON FIBER!!!
Actually, I had a recent accident, in which my swingarm was malformed and my exhaust got damaged ..... However, I decided to wrap it with 3M DINOC Carbon Fiber vinyl. It is very expensive
!!!!! Believe me, but much cheaper than real carbon fiber.
Well, my exhaust looks like a charm yaarr....
Also, I will post my bike pics with this..
Tell me how you like it...

Thank you bro I will try my best...hope not to screw up the Engine.Originally posted by SiD13 View PostHi -- Since R15 doesn't produce much torque in low rpms it wont be a very comfortable experience riding it in the western ghat area during the run-in period. It might be difficult especially with a pillion not to cross the recommended rpm if u have to ride through winding hilly roads on a daily basis. However, its not impossible and is achievable with good amount of patience. Go for few long runs in non-ghat roads and try to reach the 1000kms limit early, after that you will thoroughly enjoy riding it in the western ghats
Yeah it was me.....Originally posted by svjhonda View PostCongrats man. I remember you had posted something about admiring the bike, sitting on it...
Its yours now! I'd say stick to the recommended run-in, first 500kms, take it real easy, let others overtake you.
next 500kms rev her freely only till 7.5k rpm, use varying throttle inputs.
Change oil & filter at 1K kms and you're all set to go!
Thank you...will try my best
Thank you, actually most of the inclined part of the Road is near my house. Its about 500m of climb from level(mostly) road to my house which is at the top of a hill.Originally posted by dsids View Postwhen you're on the climb...the only gears available to you would be 1st, 2nd at maybe the 3rd. these are the only gears which will produce the sufficient torque but believe you me, it is not a great idea at all to let her go through this much of stress during the run-in period. R15 main stand bent
@All: I used to find my R15's slightly bent to the right side, but ignored it thinking the surface wasn't flat enough. Well yesterday when I went back home&tried to park it, it just fell onto the right side-luckily I caught it just in time, then noticed the stand was sticking out from the right side.
What do you think is gone-the pin or nut?
I'm taking her tomorrow for service. I didn't even ride today.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
