guys i had a water wash on my rq5 cpl of days back and i have noticed heavy moisture in my baby's headlight and this is the 2nd time i have seen such but this time it was heavy , guys i dont know how to get rid of this!

how often do i need to change my oil filter, the guy at the service center recommends me to change the oil filter every time i cnage my engine oil say at around 2000 kms.

i don't want to fit a HID but i want to improve the lighting, which are the best bulbs to change for brighter lighting.

lastly my tires air pressure decreases after every 2-3 days i don't know what to do.

i have been using yamalube semi synthetic and now i want to switch to Motul 15w 50 is it possible to do so.

    guys plz do help me

If your bike still got a warranty, it can be replaced under warranty...

          ^
          Correct.

@ freakzil- And also check the rubber bushes for the front brake are intact. The caliper judders if the bush isn't there. Also check and tighten the main bolts which fix the calipers onto the forks.

          1) A little moisture might go in, its condensation. Unless the water is drastic, you can run headlights and evaporate it off. Otherwise it means the headlights aren't airtight. Either do it (re-sealing of the 2 halves) yourself/at the svc or replace the entire thing under warranty.

          2) Filter change at 1st service, then every 10,000kms. No need of going for this every oil change.

          3) You can use higher rating bulbs, but the reflector will start to fade. You can get the low beam connected so both Headlamps light up in Low as well as high. Otherwise go for an HID.

          4) Pressure problems is for everyone, but you can check whether the tire is properly seated on the rim, the valve isn't leaking, there's no bend in the rim and there are no punctures.

          5) If you switch to Motul, you may lose warranty. This is largely dependent on the svc, if they have a good relation with you, they allow it. I'm using it, and its lasted 4000+ kms already.
          You get the point?? :D

                  • finally ordred for the air box cap. fed up with the present assembly with out the airbox cap. the engine is feeling rough.the r15s airbox cap is designed to produce a ramming effect. the more the air velocity the more the ramming effect and hence better top end. with out the cap the top end takes a beating.some body asked for the price a couple of months back. will let you know when i get it.

                    • Hii eveyone!!!!
I'm prospective owner of mighty beast R15. Just waiting my exams to end and simultaneously turn 18 and will get it around 25th may YIIPPEEEE!!!!!

Thanks to Xbhp members for helping me to select the bike(What bike section).

Shockingly OTR price in Jaipur is 1,11,190!!!! and above of it no cash discount and the offer is just like a lollipop to a child(teflon coating and cental locking for Rs 2000 instead of Rs 2700, well I'm not interested for both). However all colours are available(white on order only), I'll go for Blue definately.

As there are 3 showrooms here, I'll seriously persue them for the best deal.

In your view what can be a good deal and dealer's margin (approx.)

                      Thanks

So you finally decided on the bike! Good my effort paid off in the other thread.
Anyways, the OTR price varies from state to state due to Octroi charges. OTR Hyd is around 1.13L so you are getting a proper deal. If they offer you free teflon, get it done-it is good.
As for the central locking device, I haven't come across any dealer offering the same since it is not an official accessory. Could you provide some details of the same?

                        • Confusion between Self Start and Horn!

                          hey bikers!

                          my name is pranjal
                          i am from bhopal
                          i own a yellow r15

my bike is around 3 months old

well, i do not have any trouble till now
but i want to ask one thing

when i got the bike around 15 days after my cousin asked me if he could ride the bike

                          i permitted him

he took the bike but he was unaware where the horn knob is located
                          (i.e the left hand side)

he was not knowing so he pressed the self knob (i.e on the right side) while the engine was already running

i want to ask you all
that does he damaged the self starter or the engine by doing that?
or yamaha guys have worked on it and it ensures safely and nothing is wrong?

after he came back after the ride i noticed that the battery was lil discharged

                              • I'm not quite sure but I think there is a cut-off on the starter motor when the engine is running. In most cars too, the starter is connected by a free wheeling clutch and hence no damage to the motor
