I guess its an issue with the speedo cable, get it lubricated&put back correctly, then ride again with mechanic. If that doesn't solve the problem, get the cable replaced under warranty!
Uhh, the speedo sensor isn't a normal one. So there's no lubing the cable! At best there's a tab on the alloy which fits into the sensor and turns it while the wheel rotates. That can be lubed (which is pretty well lubed from factory). Other than that its got to be replaced if faulty speeds are noticed.

I got my first servicing done on Saturday, got Oil changed, Oil filter changed. Also got the chain lubed and air filter cleaned up. The mechanics checked for any loose fairing nut, I told them to lube the clutch cable but they said its not required. They checked the battery, tyre pressure, lights. Bike is running smooth again as it started making some Chain noise. I wanted to know if the engine sounds change after around 6500rpm if I pull in every gear, as at times I get scared that I am stressing the engine out.
No, no worries. Try rolling the throttle gently, the sound changes as the engine revs up to 5000rpm & beyond. That hum is unlike any other I've heard! Still gives me the willies!
    You get the point?? :D

mmm alrite thanks svj yeah the hum is very sweet actually, though I would be keeping my bike under 7500rpm for another 500kms as I want her to gt accustomed to the city riding condition, as you know I rode 600odd kms in a day during run-in period, thats why I am taking this step

        • as long as you are not opening the throttle fully, and are keeping the bike below 7000 rpm, aal izz well!!!

so now they are giving minda maintenance free. They are actually cheaper to replace than the yuasa ones, which are incidentally not available in the market also!!

          • JD - should it be below 7000rpm or 7500rpm? though once or twice I have touched 8000rpm but hardly for few seconds

            • ^^ i followed below 7000 rpm for the first 1000 kms, and no full throttle, and no engine braking ( or minimum engine braking ). i dint have the user manual to guide me at that time, but the dealer advised me to keep it below 7000.

okie that ways - my bike has done around 1200kms I was following the 5500rpm till first 500kms and then 7500rpm for next 500kms. but since in the first 1000kms I did Lucknow - Delhi around 600kms thats why I am still keeping the bike under 7500rpm for the another 500kms

                  • looks like my rear alloy is bent. Hit a pothole at around 70 kmph with a pillion last night & after a while realised that it had lost air. There is a noticeable dent . Will have to go get it replaced tomorrow. Any idea about costs ?

                        • @ Parth - I dont know about the case in your city, but here in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala; dealers are not yet accepting booking for the limited edition white(but the brochures are available). i think the limited edition white looks great except the white rims and silencer cover
