    No Idea! About stopping the production of older mill. Though you will be surprised to know that no Yamaha R15 engine has been made after September 2009. It clearly indicates that they are finishing the home grown stock's!
    Why? No Idea! Again..

    @Hydbiker
    Exactly! What matter's is the ex-showroom price tag!

    Ex-showroom cost of 1lakh shouldnt be exeeded, that's what he said!
    OTR...will be a hefty increment of around 6-12 thousand rupee.
    But again, if the major component of this T135 become's desi then we can expect a good overall cost drop. Desi engine can knock down the over all build cost by around 10k INR, or who knows even more? Importing is a pain, u see!
    But if the ex-showroom cost touches Lakh rupee then we have to pay 25-35 thousand rupee extra just to bring this babe home, same like Ninja 250R. So obviously the ex-showroom cost must be, at any rate, should not increase more than 99,999 INR..

    @Sheel
    They were overwhelmed by the response from R15 owner's. According to them, this response was the base cause for launching TRC (true racing colour's).
    Production of R15's engine had been stopped in September 2009 and same happened with the unit's too.
    But the bike's are still available in showroom's and are still being booked, as there still the old stock present. Around 1500 units per month is not bad for this premium bike!

      Use one night breaker H4 55/60W and one regular bulb. If you wont to use both 55/60W bulbs then your battery will drain in maximum 2 hours in city and may be 3-4 hours on the highway.

      Else better use HID if you can afford them.
      How much will an HID cost?? and will that cause any battery problem??

      • Guys one quick update.

        I just got Spares from my supplier . And was shocked to see the oil filters.
        the oil filters are now locally made and are packed in Yamaha cartons price 430rs One word of advice to new guys check the oil filter before they replace it . The original ones from Indonesia look like this they are light yellow in color and look neat.

        These are the Indian ones look like this and are of cheap quality don't think its worth 430 Rs.

        will post a pic of both the oil filters side by side later.

          I replaced my oil filter a month ago and I got the yellow one. But if they have started to manufacture this product in india, isn't the pricing supposed to drop???Rs 430 for local made ones

          • ^^^ if they are making it here and that too of lower quality (from the pics it looks like the ones for FZ16) they should sell it at Rs 50 and not at Rs 430. I thought they are making India a manufacturing / part procuring hub. I am sure they cannot procure such stuff for the international market.

            Moreover, as far as I remember the oil filter came from Japan.

                when people are ready to pay the asked price & were paying then why this downgrade?
                I don't care if this product matches the international quality earlier exported or not, to make some quick bucks this can't be tolerated...

                  Due to the bad service already yamaha has lost a lot of potential customers.

                  Recently a friend brought a R15 he went to pacer for his first service . Pacer was forcing him to buy fully synthetic oil cost 650/- . My friend gave me a call for the same, i told him to tell them to put ordinary Yamaha lube and get out of there. Pacer told my friend what does your friend know about oil we are into this business since long and we know what viscosity is right for the bike. My friend got annoyed by the rude talks and sent a mail to yamaha. Yamaha apologized him on behalf of pacer . My friend has given up on Yamaha service now.

                    Same here. I've seen svc folks forcing many customers to go for fully synthetic oil at 1st service. I was shocked and informed the customer that its supposed to wait till 3k kms, to which the mech said he was the 'mechanic' and I was an 'ordinary customer'...

                    Obviously customer listened to the mech and used fully synthetic at 986kms...

                    @ Navnish- Bro your dealer sources the parts from somewhere within India or from Indonesia/Thailand? Even I have a dealer here, I'll have to check with him... Maybe even he'll have made in India ones...
                    You get the point?? :D

                          I get parts from Indo / Malay directly. Get only engine parts as there are many nut cases in bangy who require engine parts regularly

                            So you won't have airfilters by any chance na? And how much for the original oil filter? Any price reduction if I order in bulk?

                            • Hey All !!
                              My bike's clutch had become quite loose, & the gear shift had become quite hard. The Neutral gear was almost impossible to find with the running engine.
                              So i went to the SVC this morning, & the mech told he'll adjust the clutch.. While he was just about moving it around, he discovered the clutch wire was cut (or maybe was just almost), & told me that I made it there just in time before it would have snapped.. I already had a spare clutch cable with me (always kept it in the bike after I heard from some of you that it is a must), & it came in handy (saved me time, & maybe who knows, they didn't have stock )
                              It was my 1st clutch cable that gave way, & ran for exactly 7825 Kms..

                              So I would advise you guys to please keep one handy..

                              The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
