The right RVM cost about 250 bucks..

I haven't personally been involved in a situation you're talking about, but I have heard many such incidents. Try and learn atleast a bit of the local language, it surely helps!

@All: Those whose bikes are older than a year now, can you please tell me the IDV & premium you paid on renewal of insurance after first year?
Hey Tibby, not sure my info will help u or not..

When I completed my 1 yr, I checked the return amount written something around 70k odd. Since its my 1st bike I hv 0 idea about insurance n all; however I felt something fishy.
When I did some inquiry, I found that though I have paid for r15, Orion motors has registered the bike with fz16 entry in the insurance company!!! . Though the Orion sorted out immediately and I need not run for it later. But thanks to god, nothing happened in 1 yr. So I feel wat amount u r saying it cud b for fazer. And yes, its oriental insurance.
Plz give details about ur finding. I am sure it will help many ppl who r new.

    My 11.5k Update
    ----------------
Till 10k its so good. My last 1.5k is worst ever!!! Servicing was done at Perfect riders, lalbagh. Problem started after that. Each week some small bit n bit problem is coming. Bike is too sluggish and rough. Though tappet adjustment is done; I can hear some noise. I was over charged for it. I am not going there again.
Back to orion within next week.
    I do blog.

    • Tank cam

      Hi all,

I would like to know if we can buy/get the tank cam mount anywhere in Hyderabad ? Or in India for the R15.

I mean it should fit the R15 or is it same for all the bikes ?

      Please let me know.

If this is not where I should be raising the question, then I am really sorry.

      • Did some checking up on prices for rear tyres here in Blore. Naveen tyres, Koramangala says no stock of the actual tyre & that I need to get in touch with the distributors. They have the 100/90/17 Pulsar tread for Rs 1750. But the guy there says it might wobble at high speeds (??!!).

Sai Iyengar, CMH Road has a 100/90 TVS 880 for Rs 2200, the MRF Zapper Y for Rs 2750 and a Dunlop tyre for Rs 1700. On enquiring about the grip from the MRFs he said its not great in the rain. No Pirellis. They say that even if we are ready to shell out Rs 3500 we wont get a MRF OEM tyre !

        Any suggestions ?

I dunno, maybe the fluid is jamming, or there is something which keeps the pads pressed, meaning the pressure doesn't get released completely when you let go of the brake lever. Try what I've siad, if there's any restriction, it will be pushed back.

I am so sure of that friction from front disk, because the disk is heating up after a short ride also.. There is a delay in each sound and higher the RPM delay is less and sound is intense... It is like two moving metals are coming in contact in some time intervals..
Hey, HydBiker may be right. Even the chain noise is periodic, and increases in frequency with the RPM. Check that. And also when the front brake pads are worn , there is an inbuilt marker, a metal projection, which rubs against the innermost ring (not the actual disc) of the disc metal, and that may be the noise. Its purposely built as a safety precaution, so owners would hear the noise and inspect brake pads, and replace if worn. Check that also.

If you need, I'll post a picture also...

Hey, IRC makes a tire which is exactly the same dimensions as R15's stock tire. 100/80, 17". You can look for that.

Generally a tank mount should be same size for all bikes. As in, a Hayabusa tank mount used to fit the Pulsar 200's tank as well. So you can buy it from abroad, or India, if you find one. But measure the dimensions to be on the safe side.
          You get the point?? :D

It will be without resistance, and the lever will touch the throttle grip. You'll have to do this very slowly. Don't hurry this. Slowly keep pumping till the brake starts feeling normal. Then see if the problem persists...

the same as usual motorcycles just that don't open the seat while washing and same is true for any motorcycle and be careful not to throw a powerful spray directed at the radiator

@All, i have been seeing a lot of guys asking about the Tyres. Why are people looking for other kind of tyres rather than going for the stock one again. is it becasue the stock one is not available in the market (Due to some Lack of production or any other reason)?

                                Hi,
have been using cramster turtle and colt saddle bags for two years or so on my freq bom-pnq-bom trips. They work very well, got them after seeing pics on this thread of a r15 owner in hyd who was using them.Only precaution is using a soft cloth under the turtle and a small cushion under the central portion which joins the two bags and covers the seat.this is required to lift the central portion or else the entire weight is on the fairings next to the rear seat.cuffs and scratches on the grab handle and above mentioned fairings are unavoidable.have always filled the bags to full capacity, handling suffers when there is a strong cross wind.securing them and removing takes less than a minute and they are showerproof.max speed achieved with full load and my 100 kgs is 114kmph.
                                My rating-highly recommended.
