Guys, a small query, if you remove the front number plate will the vibrations on the handle increase? I remember reading something to this effect, but may have been mistaken.

I want to get the number plate sticker on the visor, hence the query.

    Cheers,

    Shr.
I have done the same, removed the number plate and have kept the number sticker on my matte black visor.. the looks of the bike is awesome, no vibration though.. has anybody found any issues...

Notice the rear grab rail too I am full of smiles when people appreciate my paint job work...

    • How did you make the visor black-vinyl stickering?
I think powder coating would have looked excellent on the grabrails.

Nah Its not a sticker, I painted it with Matte Black Aerosol Spray from the outside of the visor.

          @Shreyas 82: Thanks man

                • stickering the fairing is a tricky job and in during summers they develop bubbles .. it looks horrible ..

                  painting is much simple ...

if you are scared to do yourself go to any good car painter and tell him to spary 2 layers of 2 k black paint and matt clear... all he will charge is 300 bucks !!

You'll probably run away from there if you see the approach road (if it can be called that) to the SVC . Its runs parallel to a big gutter on that road and the svc is bang in front of it, really dirty outside.
However, there's a knowledgeable mech in there who does a good job on my bike, my opinion, good service comes with good people management, treat them right and they'll treat your bike right.

Beware of the sales guys in the showroom though, mighty slick bunch who love selling extras like the electronic alarm and things.., cant blame them for that though...
I too got my bike from there, & have got all my 3 services done there. & i'm pretty happy with it.
The surrounding is definitely a bit of an eyesore, but there's another approach road to it (from the road having B'lore Stock Exch).
Which mech services your bike? (Santosh, Elango, Khalim, Mohammed etc.)

Perfect Riders on Lalbagh Road is a nice place, I got my bike from there. I know the showroom guys pretty well, & you can select your bike from the options available in the godown. Should be able to get your bike from there without any fuss.
The OTR price of the bike across showrooms here will be the same, however they might charge you diff rates for the non-yamaha accessories/ add-ons like teflon, alarm etc.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Got mine from lotus yamaha, Ganganagar. Pretty decent place, the sales guys dont push u to get any fancy accessories and on my observation, the waitin period is the least, amongst showrooms in blore.

                      • guys anyone got a way to make a black windshield ? .. i mean the transparent one's which we can see through.
                        something like this
Yamaha YZF-R6 Accessories, Yamaha YZF-R6 Windshields

or are they available anywhere ??
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Guys i'm planning for a long trip (about 5K+) in some distant future so what all things to be kept in mind and packed along with for that?
                          My thoughts...

                          • I think I would go with Perfect Riders, Lalbagh. It's the nearest for me from home/office since I'm put up @ Jayanagar.

I was told a 20 days waiting period from both Orion and Bangalore Wheels but read in one of the responses that Perfect Riders has ready stock? Will check today.

What exactly I should look in pre-delivery checks?

                            • Check the thread, for a couple of days back to get an idea of all things need to be taken care of during PDI.

                              • Could someone let me know how much visibility gets affected by darkening the visor? The bike looks swell with a darkened visor but Im worried about how much visibility drops when doing a full speed crouch down run.
