actually depends upon how dark it is...similar to tinting car windows.Originally posted by neil.jericho View PostCould someone let me know how much visibility gets affected by darkening the visor? The bike looks swell with a darkened visor but Im worried about how much visibility drops when doing a full speed crouch down run.
the darker shade you use ...the more you compromise on visibility.
(I assume your talking about the front windshield and not the helment)
btw...any idea how to darken the windshield of the bike ?Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

^Originally posted by R-series View Postguys anyone got a way to make a black windshield ? .. i mean the transparent one's which we can see through.
something like this
Yamaha YZF-R6 Accessories, Yamaha YZF-R6 Windshields
or are they available anywhere ??
I guess its called Vinyl. You'll have to select a shade, and get it stickered on the visor. Preferably from the inside...
1) Carry spare clutch & accelerator cables (I'll also recommend chain clean & chain lube).Originally posted by harshit.d View PostGuys i'm planning for a long trip (about 5K+) in some distant future so what all things to be kept in mind and packed along with for that?
2) Carry engine oil (you'll need to replace it once I guess).
3) Carry a tubeless tire repair kit
4) Carry spare fuses
5) Carry a temporary center stand (available for 250 bucks).
6) Carry requisite documents.
7) A digital camera to post pictures back here...
Yeah, its sort of a high pitched whine right? Heard it in new bikes... I mean made in India ones... Dunno whats the issue. But apparently no drop in performance or efficiency (so I don't think they're losing pressure). Anyways, you post back what it is...Originally posted by navnish View Postguys has anyone faced issue with noise from the fuel pump? Just now I tried leaving my hands from the handle bar just like as I use to do previously, now the bike is shifting towards the right. Previously it was Ok. Or is it just my psychology for having the accident (My bike was dragged some 10 mts with bike tilted towards the left... I hope u guys know what may be the problem, the handle bar look ok to me
Its still left unanswered

thnx for the replay guys..then i will buy my bike from perfect riders showroom cause of majority of ppl here have a good opinion on it .Originally posted by snapppy View PostGot mine from lotus yamaha, Ganganagar. Pretty decent place, the sales guys dont push u to get any fancy accessories and on my observation, the waitin period is the least, amongst showrooms in blore.
@ Snappy
ganganagar is too far from where i stay..so better chose from msp or perfect riderssigpic

yea i too thought about getting my bike from perfect riders can u get me the address of the showroom so i can check out the place..and do they have an limited edition r15 in there godown or is it yet to come.Originally posted by tibby View PostPerfect Riders on Lalbagh Road is a nice place, I got my bike from there. I know the showroom guys pretty well, & you can select your bike from the options available in the godown. Should be able to get your bike from there without any fuss.
The OTR price of the bike across showrooms here will be the same, however they might charge you diff rates for the non-yamaha accessories/ add-ons like teflon, alarm etc.sigpic

You are right!Originally posted by sajibabums View PostHi Guys,
I have made up my mind to buy a Yamaha R15
After going through all your ownership experiences and R15 related threads, what worries me is the "SERVICE".
Could you guys please suggest a dealer who gives better service when compared to others in Bangalore.
I have heard lots of complaints about Orion.
The choices and I have are Perfect Riders, Lalbagh and Bangalore wheels.
Please share your thoughts.
Thanks!
Saj.
SERVICE is damn worst. Toppers are "Orion Motors".
They will show you how worst one can get and try for even beyond...
After u get the bike, for two weeks daily they wil make u roam with ur bike around their SVC.
Dont have words, man!

Call Avinash (sales guys at Perfect) on 9980562600, he should be able to tell you what colours are available.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Its twice in approx 7 days where my motorcycle after switching the ignition ON, the tacho doesn't make a sweep
and there was some noise(like a very gentle saw machine running kms away and you have cotton balls in your ears) in the engine(which wasn't there earlier) and disappeared after clutching-in,
its no longer after doing approx 6-7kms
*the noise was for the first time and i have tried my best to make the noise sound as it is
