  • Choosing Yamaha Dealer in Bangalore

    Hi Guys,
I have made up my mind to buy a Yamaha R15 After going through all your ownership experiences and R15 related threads, what worries me is the "SERVICE".
Could you guys please suggest a dealer who gives better service when compared to others in Bangalore.
I have heard lots of complaints about Orion.
The choices and I have are Perfect Riders, Lalbagh and Bangalore wheels.

    Please share your thoughts.
    Thanks!
    Saj.

    • Bought my baby today!!

      Fellas,

Been following this thread for some days now.
And I decided to go for the R15.

The financing guys gave me a lot of trouble. After 4 days, I got pissed off.
Paid spot cash and took delivery a hour back.

It's a sunset Red. Took it from Patny, hyderabad.

I have been using a splendor with a short handle for the last 9 years. It has the old silencer. My friends go nuts over its beating.

Naa, I am not selling it.Its been with me through my worst times. Its for keeps. I am sending it home.

      cheers....
Yes, I have seen GOD. He wears the no. 46 and rides a Yamaha errr Ducati :)

dude..if u go in with ORION..they are gonna make u wait for a month even if u give spot cash..i did that in jan n got my bike in feb ..i hvnt touched the 500k bracket so cant comment how their servicing is..other than that..when they gave me the bike, i felt like their job was just to take the cash in one hand and give the bike in the other..their was no pre-delivery inspection done on the bike..one day later i got to know that the chain was not well lubed and the handle had a slight play..so make sure you do the PDI thoroughly anywhere you decide to go..a one day previous post has a list of the PDI

i believe perfect riders has got a stock of R15s in their godown..so u shud give them a try..

Heard a lot about Bangalore Wheels..im just waiting to get my free services over so that I can take it to them..if u know their location then PM me cos i wanna check them out

Bangalore Wheels is for sure better than the rest here. I've got friends going at both Orion and Bangalore Wheels and from their feedbacks Bangalore Wheels is the better one amongst the service centres here in Banglore.

Yes you can get your bike serviced at any of the yamaha service centres. Its not at all restricted to the svc centre from where you bought your bike.

                  • I have been to both Perfect Riders and Bangalore wheels.

Perfect riders' service center is not attached to the showroom. It's somewhere near by..that's what the manager told me. I couldn't visit.

I have seen Bangalore wheels service center and they have a decent setup altogether... they seemed bit more knowledgeable about the technicals..

Told me a 20 days waiting period for Blue R15

                    • Another silly question:

would there be any problem with bangalore cops, if i remove the front number plate and get the number stickered on the visor?

no buddy , thats ok as long as it's big enough for them to see it .

Guys , i had dropped of the bike for service yest , and what i found wen i went to collect it was , it was kept outside the SVC with the KEY in the ignition and no one around , careless SVC , now what i'm also worried about is that whether they used it for test rides , i didn't find any problem with it , but damn it man, leaving the key in was careless , are they responsible if it's stolen or somethin ???
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Visor sticker is fine, in RTO approved font, but they may have a problem with it if it is on the front mudguard, depending on how strict that city traffic cops are. Mine is on the mudguard, but no one ever asked me anything till now (I keep a serious look on my face while riding).
