- The bigger disc with caliper extension is for - 3.8 - 4k ( depending on conversion rate of the day). Shipping is around 1500 bucks. Multiple orders clubbed together can save on shipping.

- The front fork stabilizers are for - 2.9-3k ( again depending in conversion rate).
Shipping is again 1500, bulk orders save shipping.

I am planning for the disc brake and the High lift cam.

Cam around 2.5-2.7k in bulk, 3 k for individual order. shipping for 3 cams is around 1500/-.
I am planning to order one cam for my self as well.
Does the brake kit contain steel braided brake hose?

• New Owner R15

Got delivery of my R15 (black) and trying to be patient during the run-in period. I have bought the R15 after riding a Karizma for the last seven years and Boy! does she feel different. BTW - my decision to switch bikes was taken after a lot of feedback and spirit from all of you at this forum. Thanks!

I have just one problem which concerns the gear shift lever - After shifting up through the gears I find one has to actually lift one's leg off the footrest to begin downshifting through the gears. This against leaving one's heel on the footrest, angling the foot upwards and using the bottom top of the shoe to begin the downshifting process. Can you help! (1) Am I the only person facing this problem (2) Any suggestions as to whether the gear shift position can be altered to face an angle which is more downwards, say when in neutral as against the present situation where the gear shift lever is straight.

Nope, neither the hose, nor the master cylinder. only the disc and the caliper extension. Like i posted.

You can get it and the brake lever adjusted at the SVC station. They will simply loosen the bolt that fits to the gear shaft and fit it one notch lower. One of the first things that i got done.

The brake lever takes more time, and has more restricted adjustment area, but can be done too.

Congrats on your new purchase! Yes, the gear lever position can be lowered according to your preference, just takes a minute to do.

• I have the habit of giving the throttle a little before the clutch is released. So only the query. Wouldn't doing so affect the clutch plates in any way?

• ^congrats on your new ride, akshay

Guys, my 12k service is coming up, can u clarify a few doubts of mine, I would be eternally grateful.

- Switching to fully synth, so will be changing the oil filter element. But am going for Motul 300v 5W40. Will there be any problem. I was told that the preceding Viscosity Index (5 in this case) is fine, but I have to take care that the succeeding VI is 40. (as the manual specifies 20W40). Is it ok if I go for this oil?

- A little steering problem. One of my friends has identified it as fork oil problem and suggested that I get it replaced ASAP. The front tire slightly 'weaves' especially when the road is not smooth. I am NOT liking this new characteristic in my previously handles-like-on-a-rail R15.
Have any of you faced this problem. Please help, what else might be wrong? Tire pressures are optimum. No punctures in front tire yet. Rear tire is aligned properly. Forks seem to be straight. Cone set is fine.

- Different sound when clutch is depressed. If clutch is left and bike is idling, more vibes to be felt, and the sound becomes little harsher. Any reason to worry?

well.. thats about it.. will be getting the brake oil changed too.. DOT3 ? Also clutch n accelerator cables will be replaced..

Thanks in advance. I'm already pushing 11.7k so if u help me out right now, I can take the bike for servicing tomorrow..

No issues you can use the oil.

Change fork oil in both forks, But possible also check front wheel bearings, and steering stem bolt for right tightening

Thats a common problem, there is a play in the clutch housing and primary drive

not necessary, but you could do it.

for this steering issue...I would suggest get the wheel balancing done...i dont know why but it happens pretty frequently with me..i mean i've run about 13K km distance and just got it done in my service last month.

somehow the vibes come up in the front tyre every 6 months or so
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

My freind A little suggetion to you.
Along with the rest, get the Cone Bearing Set checked.
At times I had found my handling going-off-the-rail due to this CBS.
