Theoretically, yes. I think the problem for lower speed might be with shifting RPM. He could better his previous speed of 128 achieved in sixth gear, if he Red lines the bike in 5 gear.Originally posted by R-series View Post

^ Congrats!! Gloves really help, especially in the initial period.Try the store on top of Orion, they've got A-Stars and DSG gloves..
Jacket...try and go for a bright coloured one...a black jacket is not advisable on the highway...
Enjoy your ride and have fun!

Also when shifting from 5th to 6th, make sure you red line the bike first.Yup, ideally the top speed should increase, provided the bike has pulling power at that range.Originally posted by R-series View Postdoubts cleared for the first point
just to confirm about the second...you mean to say even though on papers the top speed should increase...the engine has trouble pulling it at 6th gear..so thats why you managed a lower topend mark on the same strech..?
so does this mean that if given the length...the bike should (ideally) manage a higher speed limit...right ?
To reach a higher speed on the R15, one has to crouch properly behind the windscreen. So you can imagine that at that speeds, your max speed attained is governed a lot by the kind of wind patterns you encounter, because the bike is mainly now fighting the wind resistance nothing else. i think the tall gearing reduces the overall pull at that rpm and thats why the bike is not going higher.

Dude..i just assume your jokingOriginally posted by GP_freak View PostGuys, what will happned if bike runs out of fuel and you still try to run the bike ? Like tilting the bike to the side and restarting the bike
.
but if your serious...it doesn't work....the exit point of fuel from the fuel tank is in the middle...thus tilting doesn't work.
The only thing is that once the bike stops...wait for a minute or two before attempting to start again. The fuel on the walls of the tank comes down and you might just be able to restart it for another few sec (5-8 approx, personal experience
)
and if not...its only 130kg approx...not much of an issue draging it to the nearest gas station
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

The fuel indicator completely went down and the bike gargled and came dead. Theni left the bike in side stand for a min and switched on and i was able to see the blinking fuel indicator
in the last point. I repeated this crazy act to get my bike to the station.
The problem is, after all this, the bike started to feel harsh and tight.

GP freak , by doing that u may have chances of getting dirt into the injectors
2. getting an air lock .
Starts or not is not important to me :-)
Extent of possible damage is important.

Humm. I think that has exactly happened to my bike. The bike is very sluggish and loses power above 100 and very less power in 5 and 6th gear...Originally posted by santoosh View PostGP freak , by doing that u may have chances of getting dirt into the injectors

Ok. Now how to rectify it guys ? What are the things that has to be cleaned ? Fuel filter ? Throttle body ? Injector ?
Btw, what is the cost of the injector ?
