Hey thanks for the suggestion, that didnt work though. The MRF guy gave me number of some 5-6 shops. All of them didnt have the 100/80.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostYour best bet is to catch hold of the MRF regional office guys and demand. Try your nearest office from sales_network
Finally Kelvin helped me out here. And helped me locate a guy who was willing to sell me the Tyre for 1750/- Bucks.
What do you guys say a good deal?

Those are lazy bums making you run for the tyre instead of finding out where the stock is.
I think that is a fair price for that tyre considering unavailability.
Sab mein hai yaar... right from the Glamour PGMFI, P220 DTSFi, R15, Stunner PGMFI, ZMR PGMFI... all have it. No display though. The sensor's job is to cut off the engine after certain lean angle.Originally posted by jatin almighty r15 View Post& FYI this is only Indian bike which is equipped with such tech.

Not sure if the RE Classic FI has the sensor. My guess is that it too has it.
Thanks mate. You made my day. Not trying to pull you but I had a hearty laugh at your question. Now, if your question was a sincere one, the answer is in the above response to Jatin.Originally posted by R-series View Postwoah
you mean it gives you the banking angle while cornering ?
That's the RPM range where the fairing vibrates a bit. Then it is at 6K. That is, if it is a bit loose somewhere. Get that tightened yourself if you have a good hand. Remember, the screws are plastic and cost Rs 60 each. Don't spoil them.Originally posted by humanoutlaw View PostGot the disk pad changed it was close to getting worn out after checking the manual, can feel the effect of applying rear brakes now....just wondering if anyone get vibration from front fairing / visor around 3k - 3.5k rpmLast edited by HydBiker; 04-23-2010, 09:18 PM.

Hi All,
Just Came from the Yamaha Service center. tHE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT I SHOULDN'T BE RUNNING THE BIKE ABOVE 60kmph during the runing period no matter what rpm you drive. i was looking only on the RPM meter kept it below 5000rpm til 650 kms and then i stretched to 6500RPM max. I',m abit worried after hearing what the service center guy told. He said to ride below 60 till 2nd service
. AS many experts are in here, i would like to get your opinion also. Also One more thing.

Utter bullshit. It's the RPM that matter not the actual speed of the vehicle. These mechs don't know anything and they simply tell you not to cross the speed that the bike will be doing at the permissible rpm.

Today while starting the bike, the rpm shoot upto 2.5 rpm and settled down at 2 to 1.5k rpm. Then there is another metal scratch sound is coming. Its like if you scratch a silver coin against a hard surface. More throttle the sound is more shrilly and loud. This sound is coming some where around engine; though I am not sure where exactly its coming. Even I am not confident whether I can take the bike to SVC which is 5 km away.
Help guys !!
Late to reply, but I solved the problem;luckily by myself. Next morning when I was checking the bike and taking a record of the sound, I found a small bolt near to the bike. Initially I thought its part of some toy or something. But hang on; I have seen it b4. Omg! Its the bolt which adjusts rpm! Immediately checked the bike and the bolt is not there. Put it back and bike came back to normal state.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostIs it a continuous screech or is there a gap in the sound or is the sound picking up pitch and going low like a sine wave? can you record it with your cell phone and post it here?
Mostly nothing so wrong would happen. But then, let us see.
Here is the video guys.
YouTube - R15 without rpm setter bolt
Check the manual. Its based on rpm not speed. Lame guys. Never expected this from svc at least.Originally posted by TijoJoy View PostHi All,

Man, I had serviced my bike in perfect riders last time. It was my non-free servicing. I was over charged but again service was not so great. Machine has gone harsh despite the their ultra classy "tappet" adjustment.
But I hv heard here about their good servicing. May b I got one of odd bad experience from there. I am not going to this svc ever.Last edited by samarr; 04-24-2010, 08:52 PM.

^^ its possible that the air idle screw gets loose. I have faced this before, and thankfully i found it lying close to the bike only. Im guessin an option is to cover it up with industrial tape once youve set the rpm.

Guys, did anyone ever hear from your R15 a sound similar to what cars do when the alternator or a/c belt is loose? That high pitch sound but with a lot lower intensity than cars make? You can hear that sound only when the surroundings are silent.
What the hell could it be?
I faced this problem twice so far. Once at about 10K KMs and once recently at about 21K KMs but surprisingly this sound lasted a day or two and it went away. It used to come ONLY when idling or when I hold the clutch while riding (when the RPM falls to idling level).
Also, when the problem was happening, both the times I took it to the SC but the problem was not occurring every time. When I went to the SC it didn't come up
Then it got set automatically. Didn't want them to open up my bike and try to rectify the sound without knowing what kind of sound & where it is coming from.
