....you should atleast check what milege you are getting....nothing special to do in it.... in empty tank make trip 1 zero and full your tank then ride the bike till it comes in reserve, note the kms and divide it by 10 (divide by 10 because there is still 2litres in reserve)....there is your average

...atleast one should be aware about the average of his bike.....

@All: I have a spare unused can of Motul Chain Clean with me. Do let me know if any of you from Bangalore need it. MRP is INR 450, happy to give it away for lower than that (as i have another can which will suffice)

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

@ Trivandrum/ Kerala R15 owners
Hi Guys,
I have seen several posts in this thread about the possible position of number plate on R15 and the possible repercussions.
It is a fact that the default number plate position takes away a lot of oomph from the bikes aesthetic value. Also its understood that the repurcussions (from traffic cops) of placing the number plate eslewhere varies largely from city to city.
I expect to take the delivery of the bike sometime next week, can Trivandrum/ Kerala R15 owners chip in with their experiences with non default position of number plates...so that i can take a wise decision.
Thanks...Ride swift, ride safe...

Guys, with the tyres pretty much worn out (max another 1500 to 2000 KMs) I have noticed that at 7000 RPM in 6th gear my R15 does 99 KMPH instead of 102 KMPH it used to do when with new tyres
ah! 30-35 in city and 48 on highway!!!Originally posted by Rohit aKa N@pster View PostHi all

I get nothing less than 38 in city and nothing more than 42 on highways. My riding on highways is similar to what you have mentioned. I weigh ~78 KGs and my gear would weigh another 5-7 KGs. I carry at least 5-7 KGs luggage most of the times on the highway.

There was this one issue of OVERDRIVE which stated that R15 does 100kmph at 6000RPM at the top gear.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostI have noticed that at 7000 RPM in 6th gear my R15 does 99 KMPH instead of 102 KMPH it used to do when with new tyres
they slashed 1000RPm from there.
