The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

        Sorry, I missed replying earlier.

        Deliver inspections
Here I go, with comments I had recieved from fellow members, when I bought my R15 a year ago
=> Make sure that your documents are correct.
=> Make sure that there are no scratches on the bike.
=> Take a ride and check the brakes as well. Some had faulty brakes at delivery (which they found out after some days)
=> Check for cracks (on the delicate joints and the parts which are prone to break. Like Side fairings, engine cowl, front cowl etc.)
=> Damaged alloys. Get the bike on paddock stand and chk for free play of wheels and any bends etc etc. This is a rare case though.
=> Check the engine oil and coolant levels.
        => Check all the electricals.
=> Check for loose fittings of mirrors, saree gaurd, etc.
        => Tyres
and take a R15 owner with you who may still find out the differences

& yes, don't sign on the delivery receipt, unless you check that everything is satisfactory.

        Running in
Keep the bike limited to 4k RPM in each gear until you complete 1000kms (i.e 1st service). The bike does 60kmph in 6th gear at 4k RPM.
After 1000kms, you can open up the bike gradually. Don't begin exploring the limits immediately. Start increasing the revs gradually for best results.
Might sound funny - teach the bike to walk, then to jog, run slowly, & then go for the kill - the 100m dash
& all of this, slowly, over a period of time

        Congrats on a mighty-good purchase!!

Go by the manual. The dealer told my friend also to not exceed 4k rpm limit. But as per manual you can take it till 5k rpm and yes do vary your speeds and shift gears.

I am 188cm in height and had no problem riding it (ridden it quite extensively). If that is your only concern then just ride it once and then book it!

alright first of all, tough luck dude....there's not much you can to when the motorists around you go beserk. Since the bike fell to the right, the parts that would've been damaged are:

Headlight fairing(should be scratched on the side)
inner side fairing(should be scratched around the area where it meets the headlight fairing)
side fairing (since you say that this is broken, I'd say replace it....costs Rs575)
tail panel(the plastic tail panel that is below the pillion's seat would've been scratched on a certain point)
exhaust cover(probably would have scratches on the lower side)

these are the plastics that would've been damaged in the crash.......do access if you need to replace them altogether or if minor touch-ups from a painter would suffice........

I had scratches all over the above mentioned parts and I got them touched up, costed me Rs500 which is a tad high but when you take into consideration that the side fairing alone costs 575 and the touch up job is clean enough that no-one can tell if the bike had been touched up..........I'd say I made a wise decision.

                            Now for the mechanical damage.
Check if you handle is bent (which probably it is......and if it is change it)
take your bike at around 40kmphr and leave her handle bars, by this you'll come to know if the forks are alright......(pray to god that they are allright)......when you leave the bars, the bike should go straight and should not turn left or right
the brake lever(front disk) will most probably be bent.......get it checked....if bent then replace
check if the footpeg and brake pedal are bent or not.........minor bending won't be a big problem but if it's a major bend, then replace
indicator.......you're probably one indicator short......so get a new one if the old one is gone/broken

also, the rear view mirror would most probably be broken.......get a new one......costs rs251
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

                            • guys ! i m new to this xbhp thingy !well im very passionate about bikes but quite confused of which one to pick ! if its p220 or r 15 !

two major factors which need to be kept on mind is resale (after p220 dtsfi and p220 becomin victims of p220 dtsi) and then loong rides does really 6 th gear(r15) give u that comfort level ,left in comparision to the other ..?

and yeah i used to own a discover (06'),ripped pimped and then sold for jus 9000rs.. jus half year so im a maverick of bikes who love to **** them badly ..! so in that case what would be ideal solution .:P!
