  • ^^ delivery is in august??? whoa.. mate the new limited edition is made in india. that much i can confirm for you. 2010 models most of em are made in india engines was what i was told. There were some last 2009 models and early 2010 models that used the last of the imported engines.

BTW, the final point is, that what if the engine is made here, its not necessary that every engine should have an issue. yes there are niggles and quality issues, but that doesnt really mean that every bike is affected or bad.

Relax, and await the arrival of your beauty.. you wont regret it. im sorry i brought up this issue to freak everyone out for no reason.

Yes the delivery is in august because of shortage of that color. That color is not limited edition dealer are making fool of us check the web site of yamaha there is no mention of LIMITED EDITION or something near to it. Competition white color is in proper color list of R15 on site......and if u remember fazer and FZ which came in blue and white color scheme are "limited edition" small limited edition sticker type is also there in there tanks but in white R15 no traces of limited edition is present on its body. So i came to do this conclusion and when i inquired about this by dealer and forced him he told that i will get the delivery of white R15 on august at least. Same word said by other nearby dealers [ambala, chandigarh, mohali panchkula] so i booked it and now waiting for it.!

The old clutch wires were faulty. The new ones now lasts longer, but make sure your clutch lever is not inclined down, keep its postion horizontal, else you'll lose your clutch cable very soon, say every 3-4k kms.

                          • Guys, If the vehicle has been run for 500 km with an inclined clutch, will it still cause the clutch wire to snap at 4-5k km??

                            • ^^ not really. generally a squeaking clutch cable ( while pressing and releasing ) is an indicator of a snapping cable.
