Yeah still, Its Indonesia not Indian.... people have already spoken up and their voices are heard already...

That's what happens, Indian Engineers still don't have the capability of producing a quality product, so cheers to outsourcing!

Funny most of big shot engineers and scientist in world class firms are mostly Indians. Dam, even the Intel's Technology chief of mobile CPU architecture is an Indian. I don't know what are you guys talking about here... Yes, one thing i can agree here is, Indian mechanics are lazy, but once they are fueled correctly (Pan, paddiky or bidi ) they can give any international mechanic run for their money.

So now we need a confirmation from someone with a 2010 model thats gotten the clutch cover opened, for clutch inspection to confirm whether the clutch is from the FZ.
Can you please let me know the SOURCE of this information?

Can you please let us ALL know the SOURCE of your information?? If its so, then how come the bike still costs the same price though the engines are now manufactured in India and because of which they dont have to pay any duty on the engine which will make the bike so expensive??

                Waiting for your reply..

Mods, if possible please clarify the same..

                  • @rythym rana, crazy NJ, this has been confirmed by an engineer friend in yamaha itself.

Also see if the new engines still come with the indonesian engine number sticker on the RHS of the bike. They dont afaik.

Further more its not about indian quality vs indonesian quality. For all one cares, if you look at the indonesian 2-wheeler market, its more or less the same as ours, only with a bigger variety and more options.

There have been initial Quality control issues and niggles, the point here is that the indian engined bike does not run or feel like the indonesian one. Which can surely be attributed to more than one factor.

@crazy NJ - with regards to your second query, they can continue to price it at 1lakh plus, because the chain of supply and demand is being met. If HH or bajaj was to launch something pheonomenal or comparable in 80k, then they ( yamaha ) hold the buffer to bring the pricing down, but what the hell, make money while the opprtunity is there.

Im a happy owner of a R15 myself, and i ride it nearly everyday ( done only about 9600 kms over the last year ), and in an effort to bring out stuff like the service manual for the R15, parts catalog etc, i confirm and make sure that the information i share is accurate, else its pointless. So you guys can relax about the Source of the information.

Me to,have posted earlier, front tire is the culprit and the loss is to gradual to be a puncture, other owners say its a common snag due to the soft compound of the tires and have to live with it till you change the tire!

Can u please name them, just for personal note... No offense to the talent but the class will show itself and its a fact... even the movie 3 Idiots speaks of IIT giving nothing to this world...
Anyways, I dont care where it is made in, all I want is to stop manufacturers playing this dirty game, even the batteries.. what was wrong with Tata Green, my bike starts on half self still... and thank god.. my bike doesn't fall in the later firm category so Cheerios!

                            • ^^ the sticker is stuck on new bikes, if your bike is sometime old, or has been washed a number of times, i doubt it would be there.

Owners who remember seeing the identification tag sticker on the engine side, would know what im talking about.
