Me too was in search of a good tank pad rather than the OE accessories. Can you please put some pics of the bike with the Tank pad on.

@neoakshay: The Stunner's hugger has a wide portion running along the RHS of the swingarm, which might interfere with the cable for the disc. Do have a look.
Also consider the XCD125's hugger-it is more compact&seems to have only one hole to drill!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Prefer semi-synthetic oil. As the same oil is shared by the engine & gear box a fully synthetic oil doesn't suit the gear's which tend to become "hard" over a period of time and are exposed to more "wear & tear". So the best compromise is a semi-synthetic oil for which purpose it is made.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostDunno about Bangalore , so will skip it, others can answer it.
You may switch over to semi synthetic/synthetic depending on what you prefer.
I would prefer semi, as topping up is what would be required in fully synth. Which I am not a fan of. I would rather change my oil than top it up.
Remember to change your oil filter though when you change your grade.Ride To Live

Here is my custom made Magnetic tank bag for my R15. "designed" myself and the magnets are from my old Studds Mustang bag. That was good too but much bigger than for R15's tank. This is just a trial attempt. Just got it tailored by a local bag maker. So there are no side pockets or stuffs like that.. Iv'e attached a shoulder strap too to carry it which is detachable. The bag is also expandable. You can see that in the pics.
I don't know the quality of materials used or anything like that... Have a look at this...If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

I had no problems with the shaft. You have to buy the RX100s shaft itself, other types might not fit. Hmm...Originally posted by zerotosixty View PostI have seen the pics and i tried to create a make shift stand using a jumper. And well, it worked out good.. But the shaft is too big to fit into the center stand's hole.
If its mandatory why hasnt the dealer given me the number plate or has it got something to do with Yamaha.. Can anyone let me know if the new R15's come with front license plate?
I have taken some pics (dont mind the shake) of the tankpad on my bike, take a lookOriginally posted by ezy_rider View Post@ ZeNashB

Keiti is good quality dude, its already gotten me lots of compliments :P
Yes, the XCDs are also an option, but PLEASE DONT DRILL HOLES. Look at the Ninja250R tire hugger DIY by Bluevolt, work on those lines.Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post@neoakshay: The Stunner's hugger has a wide portion running along the RHS of the swingarm, which might interfere with the cable for the disc. Has Planet DSG stopped selling helmets altogether?
I was wondering where I can buy good Daijya helmet for my new blue R15.
I have bought a Beon helmet at the Orion Motors. Not sure how good it is.
Thanks,

They stock Shoei, Shark and many good brands, If your budget is over 7, go for SparX,(h) else LS 2 or Cross shall do the job.
P.s-- there is a helmet thread, under "universal thread" section, take its help

I've read about the main stand launched by Yamaha for R15 in previous pages but I am not able to decide whether I should go for it or not.. Is there any problem while cornering? also will my bike be safe while its on the main stand?Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

I'm using the stand since 1.5 years&haven't had any problem with cornering. It actually serves as a guard for your monoshock link on offroading.Originally posted by HotAntivirus View PostI've read about the main stand launched by Yamaha for R15 in previous pages but I am not able to decide whether I should go for it or not.. While parking, it functions just like any other bike's main stand does.
If you observe well, there is a provision given for the mainstand as well as the space for the rubber washer near the silencer pipe.
Yamaha already had this in mind, just that they wanted to promote the paddock stand, so they didnt' launch the mainstand with the bike.
Some people like me who have had their bikes tipped off the paddock know how impractical it is.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
