My bad... I forgot the price. The MRP was Rs 237.Originally posted by surbhit View PostAir filter is available here and costs Rs250...
We lube the front sprocket every time the chain is lubed and not doing so results in chain noise. The bike shouldn't run heavier even if the chain is heavily lubed...pls get it checked.Originally posted by biker boy View Post@ HydBiker

They always say they don't have stock of anything, but if you go there they have everything. Suggest you go there, or else ask someone else to personally enquire (Vibhanshu stays close to Venkatesha, maybe you could ask him).Originally posted by HydBiker View PostI got info that Venkatesha Yamaha in Hyd has 7 pieces of center stands on Saturday evening at about 5PM. I got the news at abt 8pm. They'd have closed by then and Sunday they are anyway closed. I called them up today noon and they say all are over... too much!
Please do that. I have also not been able to pinpoint the exact place where it touches. I'll try it sometime soon though. I'll put the bike on the racing stand so it is upright, then pull&release the mainstand with my hand to check where it is touching. The only problem is I can do it only in the evening&it is too dark to see anything then. Else I will definitely do it this weekend.Originally posted by Aparajith View PostI checked yaar, its not touching the silencer anywhere. I think the plate present in the centre of the stand is hitting the shocker mounts. Have to check with a torchlight and lots of patience!!

Just make sure you get it for servicing before the date they have specified (whatever be the number of kms covered) ie 30 days , 100 days etc Defaulting by a couple of days is fine is what they said but again I doubt it. No point wasting a service.Originally posted by samarr View PostHey, thanks man for ths servicing date probs. I did nt realise so. Within how many days we can give for servicing?
Damn, we can complain ths to yamaha. TVS sends reminder sms or call services
BTW Orion charged me Rs 720 odd bucks for the 1st service. Isnt that a bit too much ? Engine oil - 220 rs , lubing 73 rs & filter 430 bucks. Isnt this the same filter that Hydbiker said was 350 & Surbhit said was 250 bucks ?
P.S - they asked whether to change the oil to normal or synth, I said keep the normal oil. No explanation given on what was 'normal oil'

Thats correct, the oil filter for R15 is Rs 430/-. Normal oil means Mineral Oil. But I do not think Yamalube Mineral is for Rs 220. In Hyderabad its Rs.180 i thinkOriginally posted by neil.jericho View PostJust make sure you get it for servicing before the date they have specified (whatever be the number of kms covered) ie 30 days , 100 days etc Defaulting by a couple of days is fine is what they said but again I doubt it. Thanks for clearing it up guys. Had a feeling that the misunderstanding was due to the whole air - oil filter thing.
@Hydbiker - how much is it for a can of chain lubricant, the impending monsoons will take its toll on the chain for sure.
Anyways, has anyone tried Castrol Power 1 Racing for their R15?

OKS lube + Degreaser was available for Rs 750. Gotta check if they went up... my degreaser got emptied yesterday.Originally posted by neil.jericho View Post@Hydbiker - how much is it for a can of chain lubricant, the impending monsoons will take its toll on the chain for sure.

Motul set was costing about Rs 900+
Wurth lube itself is Rs 710.
Yamalube is Rs 1400
Don't get ready to waste (
) your money like that so soon... wait for some more time for the synthetics and be ready to flush it out at every service to keep your warranty...

@neil.jericho: Don't worry, I was also charged the same amount for my 1st Service. Oil filter will not need a change until 10K kms. Subsequent services will cost you less. Normal oil is the Rs.220 mineral oil mentioned by HydBiker. You can try semi-synth Yamalube for Rs.425. I have tried it&have also posted some pics of the can in the same thread.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Thanks Sarvajit & Hydbiker. Will stick to the company recommends for a bit longer.
Anyways now that the 1st servicing is done, Im taking it upto 7k rpm everyday. Wow the bike is deceptively quick, the engine is more audible & ocmbined with the handling it is a real treat. VFM buy for sure. Waiting patiently to complete 3k after which Ill open it out beyond 7k.

I have tried Castrol Power 1 Racing . It is the best oil which I have used on my bike yet (haven't tried Petronas Sprinta 5000T yet). It is much better than the semi synthetic oil provided by Yamaha. The only downside is that it does not last that long(2.5-3k Kms)as compared to other synthetic oils.Originally posted by neil.jericho View PostThanks for clearing it up guys.
