Because it can blow leaves.Originally posted by RedApple View Postguys no offense (i love the R15), but i just cannot bring myself to enjoy the exhaust note
. Why does it sound like a leafblower??
. Maybe ive been spoiled by the exhuast note on my RTR
Don't think so man .. unless the power bump is reasonable they'll only be able to sell those rotors. There'll be a lot of ppl thronging to the showroom to have a look at the stuff but sales will be a different story. Similar to the accessories crap.Originally posted by Joel View PostAll this is seriously funny man. And I bet people wont think twice to blow some serious money for some 1bhp bump

New red colour looked hot.
But i personally liked the metallic yellow.

yamaha is mixing both eu & american colors for india ,blue in back is seen in r1 &r6 in usa

Now I have the 2nd weird sound coming from my bike...noticed it yesterday when I reached Ananthagiri itself...there is a weird humming noise coming during idling. It goes away when I move, but comes at idling. It is somewhat like gooonnn....Any ideas on this?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Irrespective of whatever the bikes are or are not, would you still not like to be Casanova?

And God said, "Let there be light" and there was HID Kit. And God saw that the light was good;

Hehehehee, I was one, but fortunately/unfortunately cannot be anymore! Does anyone have any idea as to what this sound is?Originally posted by Adway View PostDude, this is regarding your status message...

Why am I getting weird noises on my bike? It makes all the noises no one else's bike does&doesn't have the common problems that others do. Is it something to do with being from the initial lots?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Nothing like that, every R15 has its own set of problems. Remember my bike being screwed up from all the places, but now its rocking (after 1000 adjustments). Your bike is anyways is one having least number of problems. But I guess its showing the true colors. We'll figure it out when we meet at adda tonight.

lolz! We all are turning out to be 'sound' mechanics....
What sound.... wear an iPod and ride
Jokes apart, that kinda sound emits from the pump, open your tank and check if that sound disappears....
Have you attempted to do something with the internals of the bike recently?

No dude, its not from the pump, that is a grrmmm sound. This is clearly from the engine, while idling. It sounds like how it would sound if it was in a tunnel!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Postlolz! We all are turning out to be 'sound' mechanics....

The SVC is pretty good at Pearl, much better than the rest in Hyd, but still I think we need to push them to do certain things-they tend to take it easy if overall everything seems normal. Vibhanshu had to really force them to set his tappets&clean this sparkplug. Mine is still pending.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

The tic tic sound is the catalytic convertor&it makes the same sound-compare it in any other bike&come back if it sounds different. Nothing to worry about that.Originally posted by souvikb83 View Post@all...can anyone anyone check whether there is a small hole at the middle of the silencer pipe?the tic tic sound is coming from there...
but the heating issue is still there....any light on this???
For overheating, check the coolant level&whether it is being supplied to the radiator or not. Vibhanshu's bike had the same problem-coolant looked full, but hardly anything was going to the radiator.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

If its the cat con then you'll hear it after riding for sometime and when you switch off the engine. Sarvajit has the same sound from the brake pads. Since the location is same, we thought its from the silencer. Get that confirmed too.Originally posted by souvikb83 View Post@all...can anyone anyone check whether there is a small hole at the middle of the silencer pipe?the tic tic sound is coming from there...

Over heating can be due to a lot of stuffs. Engine oil, coolant, malfunctioning of cooling system. Most common being the engine oil, replace it if its even a little old. Not only this. Bike looses power at high RPMs after riding a while (over heat). All part of this.
