I wonder they make so much only from chain lubing. I hardly pay for the lube (Motul). It better to buy the Motul lube can, Rs. 480/-. Real power comes after 4K (2 services).

@jabez_5: Why do you want to raise the handle bar? It will screw up the handling.

How Often should I lubricate the chain if I buy the can...and They use Yamaha Lube rite??

The book says 500 Kms but its purely the riding conditions. I remember riding 1200 Kms on Motul without problems. And there had been times that I have lubed the chain at 300Kms. So just give attention to the bike and do not worry about figures.
Usually the SS guys do not use YamaLube as its very expensive. They use Motul only. Although Sarvajit recently bought Yamalube and is using the same. Its a great one. Dry type (keeps the bike clean) and can sustain decent amount of rain. Rest details Sarvajit can give you.

Hmmm... If its about the pain in the wrists/arms, then I seem to have a solution..
Maybe some/most of you here already know about this, and follow it..

A biker on another forum has sugegsted me the following:
"Wrist Pains: It could well be a seating posture related issue, agreed its got a 2 piece bar with lower seating but its no where close to the seating posture of any of the higher capacity machines (250 ownwards). As a matter of fact I found the seating to be more Sport-Touring than Sport. Have you tried adjusting yourself to a more comfortable position? Bend the elbows a bit while holding on to it, rather than holding it straight, Ive seen a lot of guys in Bangalore wearing the open face lid and riding the R15 with the hands straight down from the shoulder (not just the R15, MOST BIKES...its wrong, and its sad to see it happen!), that being the case the aches and pains will never cease. Also, do NOT attempt to steer the bike the way you would steer a pulsar or a karizma or any other bike with upright seating, because bikes like the R15 like to steer themselves, rather hold the bars a bit freely without applying too much pressure and let it do its thing (except while braking), that way you wont feel the pain, and the bike will accelerate/maneuver a lot cleaner and comfortably.
Lastly, if none of this helps ^^ try 50 push ups a day."

This biker has owned a Ninja in the past & currently owns an R1.. Trust me, the bending elbows bit works wonders.. Try to keep your forearms as much parallel to the ground as possible.. This way you will end up bending your elbows, plus will be putting lesser weight on your wrists..
Do let me know if it helps..
                    Cheers!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Bending the arms spares your wrist to take all the jerks especially while braking.

I've been riding like this since my bicycling days, it's a very comfortable riding posture. Nice info buddy good you posted it here, it will be very helpful for new R15 riders.

Strange! I'm the same height & I never faced any issue after first 24 hrs... The bike is actually perfect for that height.

                            • Me too ...5'4'' infact & except for initial 15-20 days of adjusting to the posture now I don't get any problems.

been to long rides too and no problems whatsover.

only rule I follow is to keep the back as straight as possible and pull arms towards your body rather than plonking on the handlebars thus bending elbows a bit ,the rest of things follow suit .

                              • I fitted HID of Ralcon 6000K for Rs.8000 with labour work. They are the best on the roads and no BMW or Audi can beat these. They are a must buy if you are intrested in standing tall from the traffic with those HIDs. You would require two of those hence the steep price.
