Right had faring got smashed up and dog died(poor chap was running behind a cat and was running on the road without looking at the bike coming)

can any of the r15 owners in mumbai had their faring replaced Whats the cost Please reply
Ok! first of all let me point you out!!! you said that your bike was at 90-95 km/hr and you got hit by a dog who I think is running at nearly 45km/hr (chasing a cat) hit you from the side and its strange, nothing happened!!! Usinh physics and law of motion you would have been by the road!!! Lucky you!!!

            Thanks for that!
& if my presence doesn't get them into doing a better job than what they did with your bike, maybe both of us can go there some day & take them to task by their collar..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

During the 1st service of the R15, the Oil Filter of the bike is replaced. Plus the Engine Oil is changed & the chain in lubed. So you would have been charged for these.. They wouldn't have charged you anything for the Service (its free), but just for the replacements I have mentioned.. IMO, these together must roughly add up to the amount you have mentioned..
Pls have a look at the bill & let us know if they've charged you for anything else.. Experienced owners can throw some more light maybe..

If your riding is mostly in the urban traffic then do not be afraid, it's just normal for any liquid cooled vehicle including R15.

oil filter is around 450,oil is around 250-350,lube around 100,so your bill amount is right also, the bike frees up after the 1st service, but pls restrain rpm below 7.5k rpm's until 3000 kms,i opened it up until 10k rpms after my 1st service and ended up with loose tappets at 1.6k kms.

can you ensure your radiator fan is switching on ?,also is the heat abnormal near your knees ?,..if not i think you are worrying too much,it is just normal.

                                R15 vs Karizma

Ohh...nice comment..but dude try to accept the fact...Karizmas(4.7s) 0-60 time is a bit lesser than r15(5s)...these are tested by experts....So please dont try to boost up R15 performance when it has enough in the handling department... I agree ..I'm not a great rider..but a normal rider can understand the difference...If you still dont agree..go read the magazine reports for the IPBOTY awards..It compares all these bikes...and in it the 0-60 acceleration times are mentioned...
