      • Guys,

I need the amount of oil to be used in the fork of the R15. IIRC it is around 175ml per tube. Am I right? Need the info quickly guys!!!

For servicing you need to get mainly engine oil. Follow the instructions in the manual to drain the old oil out. It should not be very tough.
For cleaning the air filter you need to take the tank out. Be careful while removing the fuel pump connection, else you will lose 7K in the bargain.
Clean&lube the chain well&adjusting the slack is also written in the manual.
Tighten all nuts/bolts in fairing etc.&then grease the sidestand, footpegs etc.
I suggest you don't attempt changing brakepads etc.
Coolant you can get from any petrol pump/automobile store.
What else would you like to do?
dude even i will be giving my bike the first service ,just 1 doubt on which direction to turn engine drain plug
i should turn spanner to left side when sitting to the right of bike correct? or do u do something else

don't bother so much about it. It is just a normal screw and is in a standard direction for every bike. Any mechanic would do it for you. Don't fiddle with it if you don't have the right tool.

Good Q. They are in the engine head... that is squeezed inside the delta box chassis under the petrol tank. Don't try to do anything on your own unless you really know what you are doing.

Keep it in a safe place, in first gear, on side stand, cover it. If someone can start the bike and keep it idling (at least) for about 10 minutes once a week that'd be useful. Arrange for that if possible.

Its under the tank and you'll have to open the cylinder head cover. You have to unscrew seven flange bolts with great access difficulty. Once you access locate the valve adjusting screw, loosen the bolt on it and adjust the clearance using a valve adjusting tool after placing the 0.10mm leaf on the valve spring retainer gap. Repeat this with all the 4 valves. Prior to adjusting, position the piston on top dead center (TDC) on compression strokE, valves are closed at that point. Turn crankshaft counterclockwise until both valves are closed and the I T (TDC) mark on the crankshaft pulley is lined up with the mark on the crankcase. I don't think you are going to do all this ,If you decide to then search the thread for pics, there are posts of setting TDC and even the tappets.

Fill fuel to the brim & add fuel stabilizer to prevent rust in tank. Put a spoon of engine oil into the bore via the sparkplug hole. cover the muffler, remove and fully charge the battery and store it at room temp.

i dont know the exact problem but it could be the break pads cause it has happened to me to.

but as u said the noise only comes when u use the break but if the break pads were worn out the noise would come all the time and not just the time u operate it.

i may be wrong u should get it checked from yamaha guys as your bike is considerably new.
