You dont need two people for that. Just turn and rest the tank on the frame.Originally posted by ashes View Postthanks svjhonda
yeah i can try that...after opening the tank bolts i will let my friend hold the tank in air and i can get the air filter from the box out.
i dont think they changed the oil filter in any service so m thinking of changing it
should i do anything to the spark plug??
What!&^&* Your oil filter's not been changed at first service? You definitely must change it now. Drain the oil, then remove the three small screws on the RHS of the engine. The oil filter cover comes off. Carefully remove the O-ring and remove the old oilfilter. Put in the new one and re-install everything.
As for the spark plug, no I dont think anything's necessary. You get the point?? :D

As you see that the new racing color video closely, where you will find the new racing color has different graphics. I had asked about the new blue racing color to the YAHAMA dealer and he told me that, might be they clear 1st old blue color stock and later they will introduce it as same case with FZ-16 has recently lunched new special edition color.Originally posted by Aditya-biking pro View PostI have not purchased my bike yet as midnight black is not available here, hope i get it in 3-4 days!

This is my assumption, I have no concrete news about this.

So when can i expect it to be launched? I am going for the midnight black nonetheless! Is yamaha providing LEDs for the brake-light and HIDs as an option?Originally posted by JitenMistry View PostAs you see that the new racing color video closely, where you will find the new racing color has different graphics. How you check mileage on R15?
Guys,
How you check mileage on R15?
I had tried to check my R15 mileage (1st service still due), I choose below method to check it. senior guys please help me if any better way to check.
1. I started counting km when fuel reserve trip meter mode active (F-)
2. After 5.6 km run, I filled 1 liter petrol into tank and set TRIP-1 zero.
3. Exactly 50.5 km run, again fuel reserve trip meter mode active.
So total km cover within city in 1 liter is 5.6 + 50.5=56.1
Is this correct way to calculate exact mileage?, please suggest.

my Taxi's morning duty
This doesn't qualify as a tour, but a small enriching experience with the R15. Maybe it belongs in some other section, but I know ppl won't really complain if I post this here (I hope :P )
So..
My bro and me just needed an excuse to ride the bike, already we had finished more than 500km in 4 days only in the city. The R15 (even under the 7k RPM limit) felt like it needed a little more road.
So what do we do? On the bahana of going 'fishing' at a lake on the outskirts of the city, we wanted to put the bike through its paces on the highway. I had just returned from the Haleem G2G after meeting some xBhp members on Sunday night, and as soon as I came home, the plan was made for Monday morning. My bro would wake me up by 4:20 and we would be on the road by 4:40AM or so. Went to sleep around 11 PM.
Believe it or not, I dreamt that my bro forgot to wake me up, it was already 5 AM and I was kicking him awake. At that time, I woke up to my bro's urgent whisper "anna it's 4:20 re, Get up!" Quickly got the morning business done, both of us put on our jacket and jeans, grabbed our helmets and slunk out of the house.
ready to roll
I don't know why, the combination of sunrise and biking is like a fetish to me, I just can't get enough of it. Just cruising along the highway with the fresh rays of the sun trying to edge through the clouds, all the while a cool breeze getting through the jacket and giving me goosebumps is a feeling I cannot live without. The lake was around 35 kms away from my home, at Shamirpet. Roads were clear and good all the way, 70% of it being NH7. didn't really push the bike, cruised comfortably at a speed slightly higher than the other vehicles on the road. At one point, I thought the engine died on me (because I couldn't hear it above the whistle of the wind, it was so quiet!) I have to get used to this. The bike feels so smooth, you just feel like you're literally flowing on the road. Both rider and pillion were very comfortable. We made quick time and looked for a good spot to fish. I parked her in a nice spot, but waited till the sun rose take a few pictures.
Here comes the sun.

I need serenity, and I've got it here..
The fish managed to eat the bait clean off the hooks without getting caught, outsmarted us at every step. Everytime the float gave the indication that something was biting, we reeled it in only to find an empty hook, bait all gone. I guess the fish were getting healthy n fat, and we were getting impatient. I sensed the time was right to leave my brother to fret and fume alone (I NEVER heard anyone abuse fish so much, lol) and take a couple of more pics of my beauty.

and THATS class, ladies and gentlemen

unlucky angler, smartass fish
The sun finally broke free of the reins of the horizon, only to get blocked by a huge cloud. But nevertheless, its radiance lit everything up, it was just heavenly. I felt so good, just me n my bro, my bike, and nature.

the land is renewed again
We decided that we were outsmarted squarely (noobs we are), but instead of being disappointed, both of us were pretty excited about the ride home. After riding her on the highway and letting her warm up properly, I handed the reins over to Nikhil. And so we rode on, I was just enjoying everything, the control, the balance, (ya, I felt it even though I was pillion
) its hard to put it in words, but it was just poetry in motion.
My bro had seen prafultripathy's (sorry if I mispelled that) display pic, and came out with his own one after riding her over curves.

we're not worthy!
A very quick ten minutes later, we were back home. Everyone asked us where the fish were, we replied smiling that we didn't catch any. No one could figure out why we looked so happy, but I guess you guys can. This is one awesome bike.
Cheers, and comments welcome.
(PS - sorry about the bad quality of pics, couldn't get anything better than my brother's phone cam. Also my bro had his own helmet but it doesnt figure in any pics coz.. its sad to look at :P )
