    Hi guys!

I've done 21000 km's on my r15 and its 2 yrs old now.
I've a few problems in my bike n the service station guys are of no use in fixing it.

    1. There is a squeaking noise from the rear wheel while vehicle moves in slow speeds
    2. my visor vibrates exactly at 5500rpm
    3. when i apply the front brake the front suspension makes a tapping noise

What do i do to get it fixed

    advice please ..

Must be the rear disc which is making noise. Get it cleaned with pressurized water. BTW have you replaced your brake pads? If so when?
      2. my visor vibrates exactly at 5500rpm
Vibration around the 4-4.5K mark is due to resonance. Check if tightening of fairing bolts work out for you
      3. when i apply the front brake the front suspension makes a tapping noise
      No idea.

Thanks for the reply man. Yes i have replaced the brake pads jus a week ago in the regular service. the squeaking noise came before replacing the pads and its still coming.

I ve tried tightening the bolts but i am not able to get rid of that vibration.

        • Guys I am F***** up !!

You remember once i posted that someone removed my left indicator of rear. I fixed it somehow for 180 Rs including labour charges...

Now you know what today again someone twisted my indicator in such a way that it broke off. I went to SVC they said I again have to replace it

          WHAT THE F***?

I dont even know who is doing it again and again. I am damn angry on whoever who is doing this. I parked it in my college parking lot and dont know that f*** is doing this

Guys please provide me a concrete solution what to do.

If this thing continues then I am f**** up. I am so fond of my bike and I feel like crying at the moment. I cry when there is a scratch on my bike.

          What to do yaar?

I serously need replies from you all

Firstly calm down and stop reacting in a ****ed up manner ... It will encourage that some one more to repeat it ... Instead try to keep changing the parking location of your bike or install Xenos's Anti Theft system which would make noise immediately once any one touches your bike at the wrong place !

Hmm i think I should calm down. Just woken up from a small nap to relieve my stress. Didnt even tell my parents about this as they wont allow me to take my bike to college then...

Anyways that anti theft looks good but I guess it will drain off the battery. Any using it?

also theres a speculation about the new version !! The dealers are'nt confirming about anyting...They just want me to wait!!

I think we never had 3 months waiting for r15 !! So is there a real possibility of yamaha releasing the new version that they have to keep the customers waiting for so long?!?!

I once called up one the toll free and they told me exactly the same thing!!
Also the dealers told me that they(Yamaha) wont disclose anything beforhand...they might just declare it to the dealers just a day before the release... a marketing strategy or something

i had to wait nearly 3 months for mine .. the news about the new R15 seems to be hype , dont think we should expect it for another 3 to 4 months .
There is a shortage of the old R15 , they're not making it in the same amount as the earlier . So billing from the dealers is being stalled . I suggest that you try other dealers or a nearby district . Thats how i got mine ... (only if you'r that desperate to get it ..)

                            • A Query about R15 Tyres

                              Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum, and this is my first post.

I have read a lots of Review and comments here for R15, and it helped me to take my decision to buy R15. I have booked one already (hope it will be delivered this month).

I trust u guys about the quality and reliability that YZF R15 provides. (i haven't test drive it yet). But i have a doubt.

Its not specific to R15 only, its about tubeless tyres. But as i am going to buy the R15, i am asking it in R15 context only.
I like to travel on bikes, specially driving it on highways. i'll probably be touring on my R15 upto 500-600 KMs. So for that i want to clarify some of my doubts about the Tyres of R15.

I know its tyres are not big like FZ and all that, but i like the orignal one only, as they perform very well(i'll experience it myself soon). the query is about the tubless.

I know a very littel about the Tubeless tyres - it does not have a tube inside it, and the tyre itself is fixed to the Rim so that it restrict the air flow to outside world.

                              Now here are my doubts:
                              1. How it is better than Tube tyres?
                              2. How it is reliable for long drives?
                              3. What will happen if it gets punchered.(will the air come out of the tyre at once like in tube tyre, or it will hold the air for some time)?
                              4. If it will hold the air after the puncher, how long we can drive it before the tyre will be out of air.
                              5. Can a road side mechanic fix the puncher of the tubeless tyre.
                              and most important of all.
                              6. How will i know that the tyre is punchered (well i can come to know when it happens with tube tyres)

Hope you didn't get bored of my list of questions. But thanks in advance for the reply.

Regarding punctures and air holding it will be a little different than tubed ones, and i would suggest you to use slime which is a liquid puncture repair which can take care of nails and other small punctures unless you gonna take the bike on such a place where the tyre will be cut in half.

Just ask the yamaha service center and they will do it, the cost comes around 1300 for both tyres and you wont have to think of punctures throught out the entire life of your tyres.
