Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me the availability and price of rear tyre in bangalore. Im being quoted between 2400 to 3000.
Mine had a big puncture on an already existing puncture and could not be repaired. Running temporarily with a tube inside and handling has gone for a complete toss. would lik to change the tyre ASAP.

i want to change the rear tyre of my ride .i.e. R15, please suggest me few with specs and also tell me if i upgrade from 80/100 - 17 then what will be the issues,

changing of tyer is no use, handling of bike change u will not feel confidence in corners and cuts go through previous pages this topic has been rased many times this is my personal opiniun rest is ur wish

Hello every1 ....
I'm Raman...new to this forum....
I hope all of us r having lots of fun on our gr8 baby R1...
I bought my bike (sunset red) on 26th OCT, 2 servicing done and theres no problem whatsoever....except 1 or 2 niggles...

often, when i start my bike , it doesnt start in the 1st chance and the 2 warning lights on the dashboard i.e. engine trouble warning light and the coolant temperature warning light, start to glow for some seconds.....

the other thing which i feel when i ride is the li'l vibration at abt 3-4 rpms.....

wat cud be the reason behind these ......pls reply....thanks

some possible alternatives for the stock tyre has been put up in previous posts, not sure which page , go back about 10 pages .
It really isnt advisable to change your tyre . .. I spoke to the svc guys about this and they said that most of the accident cases reported there were R15's with non stock tyres ...
Then again its your choice ..

All the lights turn on right after you switch your bike on . And the tacho needle sweeps ... If the lights are still on after that you should get it checked ...

I know that...
but this is happening after i try to start my bike by pushing the start button....

hey i bought my r15 rear tyre for rs1600 from bhubaneswar...

yes!! i too was really surprised by the price,the svc guys told me it cost around 2600 ,he was a wholesale mrf dealer,i was also provided with a bill..(i thought its a duplicate one but it wasnt)

so you please try at a wholesale dealer not a retailer or SVc

well . i had the same problem and it took it to the svc .. they did something which fixed the problem

when i asked the problem he said coolant issue(no wonder he said that) .. i had checked and told that the coolant is full and than he said something about engine or the sensor or something .. i ignored it .. but got it fixed .. go to svc :P

same thing happens with me its battery problem bro charge ur batrery and dont accelerate race when u push self button and regarding vibration check wether all screw are tight or not

Yesterday i bought a Red Color R15.
Drove it till 70 KMPh (5 k rpm). It drives really great.
Handling is superb.
Low end is not so good, hope it will improve after 1st service.

Congrats man! Welcome to the proud R15 club!

R15's develop power higher up in the rev-band, so low end response isnt like other Indian bikes. You will learn to live with it, especially after you experience the 7,000rpm thrust!

Try it after your 1st service.
