Hey Amit, I guess in our case its the radiator only. In case of FZ it has something to do with a certain batch(s) speedo consoles&some lever.Originally posted by biker boy View PostGot the following sms form Yamaha today:
Congrats! You can refresh your Yamaha motorcycle with upgraded parts, Free of cost! Contact your nearest dealer for details. Yes Yamaha!
Has anybody got a similar sms? And what are the upgraded parts? All I could guess is the radiator, but they said parts
, so I guess there is something more in the store
!
Talked to the delaer, as expected he had no clue
.

Btw, I got my FOC radiator on the service on Saturday. The old one was found to be leaking! And also, there is no fully synthetic engine oil coming from Yamalube-its just the shape of the same 15w50 can thats gonna change.
Other than that Swingarm greasing done, both brakepads changed (front lasted only 4K kms.this time since the rear was worn out&I had been using only that rather aggressively).
Planning a solo ride to Bangalore this weekend!

Same happens with under any bike.. me to feel the same, as it happens only in those extreme lower RPM shifts meaning me too going about the shifting to softly..Even I sometimes get stuck in the neutral while shifting from the 2nd to 1st! I guess I go very gentle on the gears while shifting lol!
Never faced the issue if shifting aggressively, only when local rides, really slow and low shifting, there while taking a turn or u turn, bike gets neutral
and engine screams vroom

happens with me most of the times..even while riding hard, when i rev the bike to 7-8k in 1st gear, try to shift, it gets stuck in neutral and then comes the vroom!!Originally posted by Hunky View PostSame happens with under any bike.. me to feel the same, as it happens only in those extreme lower RPM shifts meaning me too going about the shifting to softly..

Fork Oil needs to be changed only if you find the front of the bike diving in too much during application of the front brake. Otherwise, its fine
D'oh!

As the discussion is going about the fork oil change, I want to re ask my question about the sound that comes from my front shock absorbers when I go over a speed breaker or a rough road...Is the squishing sound normal or it is due to any problem?? The mechanic says that it will go as time passes but its been 3.6k kms but its still there....

Hi @ashaq54, Nope I haven’t replaced damaged parts as I don’t find them (sunset red color) anywhere in BD. Just did JORATALI on broken parts and put some stickers on them temporary.Originally posted by ashaq54 View Postpics look quite cooool...!! u got all the damaged parts replaced..??

Reason of the black strip: Under all the extra stickers, there are cracks or spots
I also wanted to get rid of the saree guard, but thought; if bike fall in left side then it should support little bit to prevent from more damage.

Not completely, and here's why :
I did the tank up and found that there is no 'lag' anymore. Although acceleration has gone down a bit. When I went to the nearest svc (the one I go to regularly is about 15-20 kms away and I was too little time on my hands these days hence went to the near one), I told the mechanic that my pickup has decreased and that I'm experiencing a sort of lag due to which the rpms drop for a sec or so. He took a small ride and came back and said that there is no problem. I asked him to take a ride with me, Opened up the throttle in 3rd and took her past 9k (Didn't have much road left to shift in 4th), did not experience any lag. Took a U-turn and on the way back kept her around the 5-6k mark, NO lag again.
The mechanic said that the acceleration was fine too, to which I do not agree. I went the SVC dissapointed.
Came back home and cleaned the air filter myself to see if thats the problem for the poor acceleration. It was not that dirty and after putting the tank back again I took a small ride. Very marginal increase in acceleration, almost not noticeable.
Will go to the SVC that I usually go to (Carlton Motors, Kashmere Gate, New Delhi), but that I guess will have to wait for a couple of weeks as I have my exams due in less than 2 weeks. I'll not ride much till then and hope that they can clean up the injectors

Front tyre in mumbai/pune

Is the tyre rim slight bent?(Visually I couldn't find any alignment issue)
I have the same issue with my bike.Anyone know where I can source a R15 front tyre in Mumbai/Pune?

well, a pretty similar thing happened with me..
though the circumstances were different..didn't run out of fuel, but refueled from an unknown pump as i was running low(not too low though
)..
it all was fine till around the 3k-4k range, twice or thrice in the third gear, 2nd gear (with pillion), i felt jerks, i.e. the bike misfired..
the next day i tried, it did misfire in the same range and circumstances..
told this to the svc, he checked, cleaned the spark plug..the mech said, there isn;t a need to clean the injectors as the bike is new
, told me the reason could be bad fuel
..although i don't feel the same jerks now, but there is a lag when, say i'm in the 3 gear, around 3k rpms, when i twist the throttle completely, the bike doesn't immediately accelerate, there is a lag
..still don't have a solution for it..and as you say, the acceleration isn't upto the mark..i've posted my problem earlier too..no solution yet though..
do keep us posted about the difference(if any) after the injectors are cleaned...
btw when are we supposed to clean the injectors??any specific kms/time??
p.s. not a air filter problem, mine is clean too..after monday and tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!!
