    @all -

My bike has been making significant vibes in the 4k-6k rpm region nowadays. This is becoming too irritating day by day. I just dont know what could be the cause - the chain is properly oiled and tightened, engine mountings are all tight.

The vibes are felt mostly from the tank/footpegs. Also, from 7k and up or below 4k rpms, she behaves smoothly.

The engine also makes a slightly gruffy sound at these 4k - 7k rpms - initially I thought it to be the sprocket sound but oiling the chain made no difference to it. So I think it must be from the engine.

BTW, this is happening on Motul 300V 15W50 oil!

    Help!!!

Hey did you checked the air pressure from more than one shop, check the nut and bolts of your fairing and handlebar, also check the fork alignment.

Test can be done like on 5k rpm do some corners and see which part vibrates the most.

maybe, its the time to get your tappets/valve clearance done.

loose tappets result in heavy vibrations
whereas improper valve clearance results in wrong mixture of air and fuel, cause engine noise

Maybe, but I dont seem to hear any tappet noise so far - does this bike's tappet not make much noise when they are loose?

Vibes are from the footpegs, tank and handlebar. Nothing from the fairing. Vibes are max at 5k rpm. It is smooth at 7k and up rpms.

Handling is perfect. No problem there at all.

Have you got all the 4 engine mounting bolts tightened? These are known to transfer vibes&make the overall ride quality very gruff.

There are 3 bolts - 2 near the sprocket area and 1 near the head. I checked them on both sides.

Hmm. This is puzzling. Ask the previous owner if this was there right from the day of delivery!

tappet make irritating noise when loose, sounds like loose marbles
                  check footpeg as well
infact, how many kms have you covered soo far?
                  if done above 15k
i suggest you to go for each single bolt tightening

                          • Has anyone tried mounting 2 HID headlights on the stock battery?

Any issues faced or other things?

                            • Tried two 35W HIDS, rode a decent while with it... check FB for pics.
If you maintain decent speeds you wont have any problem. Its as friendly as the stock.

IMO Two HIDS are a over kill!!

you won't have any issues whatsoever. keep your revs up.

stick to a 4300K kit... and you'll be very pleased with the twin-setup.
