Any tips on painting it black?
if the visor's in good condition... it can just be sanded n painted.
a primer undercoat would help tho.

if it isn't then you'd have to sand it down, put on a coat of primer,
paint it black and then add on an optional clear coat.

what exactly do u mean by original/duplicate paint?
do you mean you want to paint the visor the same blue as ur R15?

The Visor and the bike is just 1.5 months old...just a few hairlike scratches due to cloth i guess

No its not the paint which is used on my blue R15...

"Original and duplicate" (These words were used by the paint guy. so i am not sure)

        • Why waste so much time&money-just get it vinyl stickered from the backside. It will give the tinted effect.

          @Shivanshu: Bike finally washed&teflon coated!

WOW thats great brother so she got the much needed bath... great man. now some pics would do more justice to the post.

By the way me running on 6.1 point on the chain adjuster, so time to change the chain set soon. Also tyres are going bald, but will wait to see what tyres coming on new model and then will think of changing it.

A showroom guy was telling me that the new model is more than 150cc...around 160cc and was telling its gonna be more powerful than R15...to be named R16. so dont know what is true, but then yeah they need to bring something to make a presence in 200cc segment

Sorry bro, I would really like to, but I don't have my phone or any other cam too.

By the way me running on 6.1 point on the chain adjuster, so time to change the chain set soon.
So soon on point 6? How many kms.done mate?
Mine was on position 3 before the Bangalore ride&came to 4 after it. 20.5K kms.as of now.

Also tyres are going bald, but will wait to see what tyres coming on new model and then will think of changing it.
Again, didn't expect it this soon. Maybe touring has taken the toll. Anyway, those stock tyres are only good for 15K kms. They lose all character after that.
I'm in the same position myself. If the new R15 comes with the same stock tyres, I will go for Pirelli for the rear atleast. You must have seen the discussion Neil&I had-Pirellis seem to be the best bet in stock size as of now.

Showroom guys are saying all sort of things-one guy here even said it will NOT come with clip-ons, rather with an FZ sort of handle!
I strongly feel it is only a cosmetic makeover of sorts.

How is the performance? Does the bike still have the amazing modulation using this disk?

What is the cost? And have you replaced the fork leg too?

BTW, have always wondered, what is the size of the R15 stock disk?

                        • performance - Bites amazing, gives a good progressive feedback ( you can jab on, and the disc wont lock up, gives a good feedback ). Though it takes about 200-300 kms to bed in properly.

Cost - 5.6k or so with shipping and import duty.

No replacement of anything. It comes with a extension plate that connects to the caliper mount, and the caliper connects to the extension plate.

The disc is floating type ( the black discs are lock washers ), So no issue of warpage or disc bending.

I think the stock front disc is 260mm or so.

mmm well thats okie, may be someday we do meet, I am still hoping. Yeah man the touring has taken its toll. I have clocked 15677kms. I asked some Yamaha Engineers about it. He said its coz of touring and also riding continously in not so good tarmac. And these 2 factors were very prominent in my last 2 tours.

well I think there is still some juice left in those rubbers, the only thing is that I can see is that baldness yeah again touring, and also the no-tarmac riding. But whatever it is, I am happy, machine is performing good and she wants more though my long tour plans would be on hold till I change the chain set, or may be a small tour can be done
