hey all i asked this about a week earlier,
i'm from trivandrum, and there is a shortage of R15s here at the showrooms
i went to muthoot and they took my order and said they can deliver the bike in about -30+ days, however i also checked at Hilton and they said they are not taking any orders now as the production numbers have gone down and most probably hints at an upgraded R15. they advised me to wait for 3 months and then order
what your takes on this guys ? any possible updates recently ??

Guys Guys Guys...Some good news from here..I finally got my Bike Delivered !!!
I am damn happy today...There were some funny moments while getting the bike home from the showrooms
1) At the Petrol Pump :
When I entered the petrol bunk everyone will gazing at me like I am a big superstar :P This happened when it was night imagine what will happen in the day :P
When the petrol wala started filling the petrol pump this was the conversation
Petrol wala : New bike?
Me : Yeah just bought it
Petrol wala : Yeh sabse mast bike hai ...idhar hi lana petrol daalne ke liye.... after filling the petrol with true respect he said Thank you sir :P
Lol i burst into laughing from inside ...I know how they respect other bike fellows as i always go there to fill up my scooty pep :P
Situation 2 : Everyone was looking at me on road...just then a poser coming a bike fellow (Poser) was coming from my opposite side..i saw him in my RVM ...he took a U turn from behind on his Yamaha RX...revved it to death and tried to scare me as he passed just near my bike and looked back....He is certainly a poser and I know that and yeah I am not going to race anyone till 1k
Loved this bike guys ...its money well spent..My confidence level rose to new levels today...my self esteem increased like anything and now I feel more confident..
THis is a pic of my bike and me sitting on it.

Guys I have 2 questions .....please answer them
1) When I take the bike over a speed breaker with a pillion or anywhere with a u shaped undulation inwards a THUMP! sound comes....I felt like something is banging to wach other...is it the ground clearence fairing or the monoshock suspension banging?
How to stop that sound?
2) Isnt it possible to light up both the lights in low beam? ....It doesnt look good with just one lighted eyeCheck out my Yamaha YZF R15 Ownership Review

1)its noway a ground clearance issue..the bike is tall enough..Originally posted by hardcorebiker View PostGuys I have 2 questions .....please answer them

no idea about any THUMP sound..does it come from the rear?? could be because of the tool-kit under the seat, try removing it and come back if it persists..
2)it can be done, quite a few fellows have got it done..AFAIK it voids warranty..any modification on the original electrical setting should be avoided..

Oh was waiting to hear from you. So what's the fuss about the new price in Chain sprocket costing Rs 1800 or so?Anybody Shed some light please!Originally posted by jigar2speed View PostI have changed the sprocket set and it costed me RS 2690 that's including the labour. Looks like i had a faulty sprocket set since i bought the bike. I have been complaining about the small struk sound since i bought the bike, it's now resolved. I am a happy goose
EDIT: I have been experimenting with a new Petronas Fully synthetic oil Syntium 1000 15W50, and this thing is far more cooler than motul for me. The engine feels more smoother than it use to feel on motul. But that's my own experience.

Petronas..Um, Next oil change probably!
Congrats Hardcore. Blue is a Lovely colour.Originally posted by hardcorebiker View PostGuys Guys Guys...Some good news from here..I finally got my Bike Delivered !!!

Stick to your RUN IN, Get good Gear and don't feel intimidated by anybody on the street. Let them, rev, give you looks, shoot past you. Keep your calm! Avoid Traffic GPs.
Be safe. And as Veyron999 said, anything else "We're here"
Enjoy the Magic!
Have seen, many R15s with dual Lowbeams. Never seen the spread. Some say it voids the warranty. So check. And It definitely doesn't look bad. It's how every Superbike,Supersport with dual headlamp is. You can switch to HIDs on Highbeam in the Long run.Originally posted by hardcorebiker View Post

As many people out here ask about the working of both the headlamps on lower beam, I have an alternative.....If the driving is mainly in city limits and the road conditions are good then we can always use the high beam by lowering the beam height with the help of adjusting nuts....It will not blind the oncoming traffic and will also lit the road well enough....I have been using this since my purchase of the vehicle...
