  • Guys did u all face vibrations during your running in period..?

I have completed 100 Km .. I am not aiming to complete 1000 Kms in a month as my riding is only 10 kms a day. So waiting for 30th of December for my 1st servicing

I normally shift at 4k RPM and on all gear I feel like I am riding a splendor...so much vibrations

    • I have a 09 model R15 which is now a year old but its the same lot with engine no. starting from 20P1.. my fren recently brought his R15 which is some B1~B2 kind just 2 months old now. He offered me to ride his babe as he assumed it had some problem with pick up and other issues.

The clutch shift was entirely smoother (reason its new, mine clutch wire needs to be replaced, its jammed and hard to pull). I found his bike had an issue with pick up. It was resisting not to pull. And, crossing 80 was not that easy and the bike was always on a tardy zone.
Compare to mine, which is much smoother on higher RPMs and it reaches 100kmph in no time and with no issue. May be his bike is just 1200kms old so i am doubting the culprit.
One common issue that was seen in both bikes (not sure if you all face the same issue or not). Follow this steps:
Shift to first when you are grounded (zero). Accelerate but quickly change to 2nd while u are running around 10kmph. Now try to accelerate, the bike gives a lot of jerks compared to other bikes. Also, while riding on cities when traffic is slow (not halt) I often have to shift to 1st gear coz it really struggles to pull in 2nd gear. In order to pull it in that scenario, I have to take half clutch and accelerate and increase the rpm to 4k band and then leave the clutch. The bike feels like its loosing power and about to die while accelerating... I have to take half clutch too often...

What sort of problem am facing?? A trusted mechanic told that it's an issue of clutch bell which is common on all R15's... Members plz throw some light...

I think you will have to pay the Octroi charges there in Pune & then you can get it registered from Mumbai.

i change oil filter on 2 conditions :
              1) changing type of oil
              2) every 2 oil changes(that is every 2000kms, since i always changes oil on 1000kms)
Ya with your 1st condition i agree but 2nd condition i am not sure because changing oil filter at every 10k was told by yamaha service manger

                    Hi there,

I purchased my bike from hyderabad. But while purchasing I gave the permanent address of my home town Guntur.
The showroom guy told me that I have to get the bike registered from the Guntur RTA then. Registration was a 1 day process. And the c-book was sent home in little over 2 weeks.

I had ridden my bike to guntur and got it registered there. Simple.

Buy your bike from Pune. Give the showroom guy your Mumbai address.
Ride it to Mumbai and get it registered there.

The point is --we have to get it registered from the city address we give to the showroom guys.
Yes, I have seen GOD. He wears the no. 46 and rides a Yamaha errr Ducati :)
