Next time if you can, be there when the service technician puts the oil. Best thing to do is to take the service center's number, call them and ask when they are going to work on your bike. Just pay a visit then.

Most importantly ... dont piss off the mechanics with too many questions

thanks .. but they say take an appointment and than blah blah and give the bike after 2 day or something .. i dont think they would let use see those what they do .. u know !

oil filter change every 10k kms? isnt that a bit late?
i change oil filter on 2 conditions :
          1) changing type of oil
          2) every 2 oil changes(that is every 2000kms, since i always changes oil on 1000kms)

Just come over to hyderabad for 2 days and take delivery of a red r15. I am pretty sure you will get it easily here in hyderabad.

            Hyderabad guys, your suggestions.
            agreed...
Fun begins only after 6K rpm.....!

Am i understanding right or is something missing?
Yes, when the engine is new, it will be good idea to use mineral as it will help the engine bed-in proper.

Don't rev too high during this, increase the speed progressively and don't keep it pinned for longer durations on high-ways.

                • ^^ tell her its for a good power to weight ratio.. its your need for speed that keeps you slim, so you can tuck well behind that aerodynamic fairing, and reach some impressive speeds... hehe.

My offerings to the gods of speed -

                  - KTM Duke 200
                  - Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

                  • planning on getting a new bike. test drove the R15, P220 and ZMR. Man R15 handlebar is too low for comfort.. am mostly into touring not racing or anything. it felt so uncomfortable. felt hard to steer and it was like doing push ups on bike. will i get used to it or should i just go for P220? people here said it would be a little uncomfortable and i will get used to it. but it was close to very uncomfortable. feel disappointed that i'm not confident in driving the bike !

You will get used to it, but if you are into touring, you better go for the P220.

Man i will tell you that R15 kicks 220's groin...

I first heard that R15 seating position is too uncomfortable but later when i actually bought it I found that it wasnt that uncomfortable as some people potray..

1 or 2 days you will feel uncomfortable... Imagine a village girl wearing a skirt for the first time... Ofcourse she will feel uncomfortable but later you will love the position

220 is just another bike next door...Its good for touring but R15 isnt bad...it rocks in all the aspects..
