I love the attention and My confidence has increased to very high levels..

I see girls looking at me when I am riding and today was the day man ..

The girls started talking to me ... I dont understand the psychology of girls..

and yeah some people in my college are truly jealous of me and I am LOVIN IT!!!
btw, congratulations on the purchase. We all can very well relate to your emotions.
Follow the run-in instructions as per the owners manual, & don't let the confidence change into over-confidence.

At xBhp we believe in, & promote safe riding. We hope you are riding with adequate safety gear. A helmet is minimum, and other riding gear is highly recommended (all for your safety & well-being).

    My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

      • @abhijeet - switch over to semi synth, mineral oil does not last that long in the R15. And remember to change the oil filter when you change the oil type.

Get the front steering stem checked, And get the half nut below the top plate of the handlebars tightened. That should reduce vibrations to a great extent.

@free2rock - put the 415 wala oil. Its semi synth, but change oil filter if changing grades. and you should ideally be getting your bike in 2-4 hours.

God its maintenance cost a bomb.(10 to 15k every year)

So i have decided to shift to R15
I am looking for a used one.
Please tell me the things i should take care about and what price for first edition of R15

I am located in yamunanagar and will prefer a bike of the same city.
            Traffic moves slow here.
Bumpy no no very bumpy roads.
No place to touch top speed.
Have seen r15 in hands of posers only (no helmet, riding rash)

            Thank you

PS: Damn yamunanagar roads i will take her to hills every Sunday(65 km far from here)
            Help please

I suggest that you dont go for R15.
Its not really comfortable to ride in too much trafic.
Its power is very hig up in the rev range so driving in the city with a pillion can be tough.
Plus bumpy roady are bad because after some time the fairing will start rattling and you have to keep tightning its screws.

If you are gonna take it to the hills then nothin else matches the feel of this bike.

But i would suggest you to go for another bike if it is primarily for a congested city with bad roads.

That was done only for the 1st couple of batches-maybe they had to hurry up since they had declared the launch date so they brought the bikes in one piece (CBUs), making a few people (initial lot owners) benefit.
After that it was 70% localization-engine, chassis&gearbox were imported, rest was made here. From 2010 onwards, it is 100% manufactured in India.

                12L + 1.9L reserve! = 13.9~14 L
                That is 10L + 1.9 reserve = 11.9~12L.

                          • @vontdeux - Welcome here on XBHP.com.

I am not a R-15 owner but still appreciate its virtues.

Can you give some account of FZ150i's performance, acceleration, top speed ,etc. of the model as sold in your country. Would be interesting to single out any mechanical differences if any. Also, any light on old Honda Tiger sold in the region. Thanks in advance.

                                1) When I take the bike over a speed breaker with a pillion or anywhere with a u shaped undulation inwards a THUMP! sound comes....I felt like something is banging to wach other...is it the ground clearence fairing or the monoshock suspension banging?

                                How to stop that sound?

                                2) Isnt it possible to light up both the lights in low beam? ....It doesnt look good with just one lighted eye

The thump sound is the saree guard hitting the axle nut.

I was hearing the same thing on my bike whenever I was riding it doubles.

My friend noticed it while I was riding doubles.

Solution would be to remove saree guard.
