agreed on that bro, unless you have a petite chic or a small kid on the back ,it wud be v.v difficult for them, saying that,r15 rear seat is much more comfy than the fz which is only a plastic board & wud not even fit you if you are more than 70kgsOriginally posted by sveetvenom View PostLast edited by anirudh fz1; 07-23-2009, 04:55 PM.sigpic

Hahaha!!! Make one for urself.... BTW yeah, with two-up the bike does take light years to accelerate. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I end up running it in 5th gear all the time without using the 6th!Originally posted by santoosh View Postdid some nut have a pblm with what i posted here ??

i'm planning to buy the R 15...i'm a student here at bangalore wat would u suggest R 15 or fazer??i'm confused cos i test rided both and like both...budget is a very small prob i mean i can buy the R 15 but mostly city riding only on the weekends may be highways....i want a bike for 4 yrs....

^ If you like my suggestion, would you give me the bike after the 4 years? :P
sad, idiotic joke attempt apart... I would suggest the FZ... coz you mentioned you're more of a city rider.. Usually if ppl don't have budget constraints, and wanna choose b/w R15 n FZ16, they are suggested R15 outright most of the time..
neways.. Fz is a really good package.. will suit the occassional highway jaunt too..
whatever u decide finally.. enjoy your (future) ride!

Both are good.
One is a tourer other is a performance desi-sports! Choose as per your need.
Keep in mind the comfort factor, performance needed, price tag, purpose etc.
Apache 180 too is a good option.
I dont feel R15 soo lazy that you dont feel like riding it in 6th cog. Above 5k, its picks up rather okay.

well i chose the R15 specially since I was selling off the Karizma I owned at that time.
About these 2..if you consider looks ..i like both since as a street bike the Fazer looks hot and as a sports bike the R15 looks great.
You said budget is not an issue, so keeping that aside..i think your down to what kind of ride you personally enjoy.
if you enjoy more of a relaxed ride with a slight sporty position, you can go for the Fazer. not that it wont give you the adrenaline rush ...but if your like an early morning rider, hunting for empty streets on cool sunday mornings like me..just to have a close experince to track racing...dont think twice..yamaha has a 1 lakh bike hunting for you
whatever it is...seek opinion from all resources..but ensure the decision is yours
Ride safe..Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Thanks satyen. Last time when the SC guys checked the tyre I did not sit with them. This time I will be with them check thoroughly.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Postcheck thoroughly for punctures.... check if you have a nail or glass or something lying in... if all else fails then it has to be a rim issue!

Both these bikes are a class apart. The Aerodynamics of R15 is such that the air flow between the machine and rider is adjusted such that if a rider crouches on R15, you would feel a very less wind going behind you. The price of Fazer is 72K ex-showroom.... and the price of R15 is 98K ex-showroom. If I were you, (keeping in mind that the budget is not a constraint) I would definitely pay 25K extra for a bike that has Diasil cylinder... a bike that has a liquid cooled engine... a bike that has double disc brake (Safety comes first)... a bike that has six-hole fuel injector... a bike that has six transmission speed... a bike of whom I can boast it to my friends saying that catch me if you can ... Ask any biking geek.. what does delta box frame and link type mono-suspension means... you don't have to think twice. My suggestion go for R15 if you can keep her...Originally posted by ankur44 View Posti'm planning to buy the R 15...i'm a student here at bangalore wat would u suggest R 15 or fazer??i'm confused cos i test rided both and like both...budget is a very small prob i mean i can buy the R 15 but mostly city riding only on the weekends may be highways....i want a bike for 4 yrs....
I believe choices are made personally.. we are just here to throw some light... sometimes its very easy to choose between a right and wrong path.. but very very difficult to choose between two correct choice.. Ask yourself.. for what reason you are buying.. and does this bike answer my question...
Let us know your decision.. happy riding...----------------------------------------------------

Hi guys, my bike turned a yr old yesterday.
This bike opened up the world of road racing to me, which is something I always wanted to try eversince I can remember.
So far the bike has seen 5 races,3 track days and one horrible crash. The odo reads 7.5k kms odd and returns 35-36kmpl (not bothered really)
Guess what, to celebrate we are heading to the track, where the bike belongs
A pic which keerthy snapped in one of those track days.
Happy birthday

Im so used to the Braking , the handling and suspension that my mind doesn digest riding on other bikes. The bike is so so forgiving , Iv never had that experience on any other bike.
where as when on the highway-- the loss in torque is what i hate it to the max..
No use of it capable of doin 100 kmph is xyz seconds when ur touring..all that matters oly on the track.
while coming back from pondy/chennai with pillion i was able to do 130 on speedo. But when im at 85 on 6th and open throttle....It takes light years to get to 100..
I was like y the hell did i ever give away my pulsar ??
or like when is the zma releasing??
Sometimes i feel like i just wanna get rid of this ,
and sometimes u get the feel that what technology u pay for is actually amazing , do 120 all day on a 150 cc and still u dont have the fear of over heating or seizure or anythin..
Just wanted to share my views on the r15 after a year of use and about 17k kms.
Santa
Its all in perfect gearing with the correct RPM..well technical riding..thats it..practically we all enjoy the open and accelerate pulsar style throttle response right?
