I guess Red is distinctively different. It has nice metallic touch which doesn't reflect in Black. Moreover, Red is different enough and sober as the same time. At least in wallpapers, everyone I knew preferred that full red color over blue or black , can't say in physical though.

Me too but not on colour confusion about bike confusion
Yamaha R15 yellow colour or Tvs Apache RTR 160 FI yellow colour
Both bikes are head turners but which one to choose is a big question ?

                • amazing pickup and controls

this R15 is truely one of the best bikes after RX100 i have drove it has amazing pickup and controls and you really get the feel of the greedy soul arrives inside you and that to rose in me when i test drove my friends R15 from pune to panchgini route. It really throws Karizma, pulsar and all other bikes in its segment 100 times back.

Might be a odd case but still check for the disk pads once.. or is it the chain sound? Guess its the chain sound.. Lube it..

                      • Finally, time has come for the expiry of my bike's Fork-cone set! The steering was acting extremely crazy since today morning. Went to the SS and they agreed to replace it on warranty..asked me to come back in 15days.

                        • Hey guys, Ketan here from Mumbai.. I dont post much in this thread..only if I come to know something related to R15 I share it with fellow R15ers...

Today I went to Kamla Yamaha, here in Mumbai.. One of the best service centers in Mumbai. I wanted to buy the chain lube for my bike. I have been asking the co-ordinator of the SS bout the performance kit since long back and he had said he'll officially call every R15 owner once the kit arrives.

Today when I asked him once again, he said the kit is supposed to be there in the SS buy the end of this week. I got excited and felt sad at the same time. Excited just to know the actual price of the kit and what all is included in it. And sad because I had read that it's not street legal.

I asked him bout the price(though many here must be aware of the price long back but I didnt know the price) and he said it'll cost around 36k

But then I thought of confirming if it's street legal or not.. so he said there's nothing like that and it can be fitted to any R15.. Now what the hell is this? Which one is true??? Is it really street legal?

I asked him what all parts are in the kit.. I knew a few but still asked him. He said, the kit'll include Exhuast system, ECU and Cam shaft.. Power will go from 17ps to 21ps.

So my question is, is it really street legal? Can it be used by any R15 owner?
Any which way, am quite excited bout this whole thing..

                              • Wanted some help regarding the FID.
AIM: Street bike, for commuting purpose, but a bit QUICKER than stock R15.

I have a spare free flow air filter with me.
Well i wont be spending a single penny doing all this work.Ive called a so called Engineer (from yamaha station)from Lucknow, and he said he can carry a FID along with him.
Wanted to do it just for an experiment sake. Thats it.
Will work out a free flow soon.

I remember reading Navnish's post, that he has changed the stock air filter and tuned the AFR. and its much much better as compared to stock. Some light please.

Question is : Should i go with the stock filter, or a UNI...... at what CO % ( approx ) should i stop. What points should i stop at using :
                                1)a UNI
                                2)Stock filter

Stock being 3.4-3.5% by how how much points should i increase CO% in each step.

                                Garry..
