The noticeable differences at this point are:
    1. loud horn (very loud)
    2. yellow stripes on wheels.
    3. golden color calipers.

I need to peek into the radiator of my bike and someone else's bike to tell you the differences. I will try to post a closeup tomorrow.

Congrats buddy for your new machine.. its really looking awesome... Yellow color is damn good too... just came as a second thought... finally.. we have a loud horn.. that's great... I guess that golden color calipers on the discs were previously found in old R15 too right... will wait for ur confirmation on the Radiator stuff... congrats once again.. dont forget the run-in and keep posting..

Now dont say manual says 28,
25 seems better to me , its my personal opinion

                    • hey friends. I wanted to install the rim tape on my R15. Does anyone know how much it will cost around, getting them locally. and is it worth in comparison to yamaha's Rs300 rim tape.

                      • Queries

Moved to Castrol Power 1 Racing a couple of days back at 4500 kms. Bike feels smoother now but still itsnt a 100%. Guessing its the tappet issue. Couple of questions (pardon my ignorance)
                        1. How many kms should I run the bike on Power 1 Racing before refilling replacing it ?
                        2. Any one who has used both CP1R & Motul oil ? What would you recommend between the two ?
                        3. How much time would it usually take a Yamaha SC to check & adjust the tappets ? I cant leave it in the SC the whole day and can only go in between work to get it done.

                            1) The Power 1 Racing lasted a good 3K KMs
                            2) Yes.... Motul Factory any day, much better feedback than CP1R
                            3) Depends on the skills of the SVC guys and the SIZE of his palms :P

You will know what I meant when you go there...

Even my bike needs tappet adjustment now and more.... I am waiting for my trusted mech to be back, the rest of the SVC guys here are more like what we call in mumbai "thook-patti" jobs!

Thanks man. Does the Motul Factory have a full name or is it just Motul Factory ?

Regd the tappets ( i know, depending on the skills and size) roughly how much time would you say - an hour , two ? Cause I need to give my boss a heads up if I am getting it done. Any idea how much YSC will charge for it ?

Its called Motul 300V Factory Line Double Ester 15W50 4T

Tappet adjustment can take any where close to 30 minutes to 4 hours...
In my case a mech attempted doing it and was stuck for 3 hours and then another (and now my regular) mech came and did it in 20 minutes.
Ofcourse he was faster because the tank etc was already removed and he had punny lil straight palms!

YSC Shouldnt charge for it if its under the regular free service period... if not then it should be your routine service charge 100~150 bucks....

Edit: I thought I read somewhere that you havent clocked more than 5K KMs... so am not sure if it is really a tappet issue for you... I guess its more of your chain being loose... try fixing that ... and heck it is probably nearly the right time for you to check the valve clearance... so might aswell do taht as well...
