First thing, how are you checking the air pressure? There is a good chance that the place you are filling air from has a faulty guage. Did you get this verified by checking pressure at some other place?

Please get your cone set checked... or may be the cone set bolt is set too tight....

Do your alloys have any bends? get that checked. Also check if your tyre wear is uneven, by any chance.

And finally, the forks for any alignment issues / bends!
Checked the tyre pressure at a BP bunk. Are those reliable enough? And bouncy is a figure of speech/expression :P Don't take it literally:P. I suppose the gauge is faulty at this place. Let me verify it by checking it at another place. About the cone set i'll get them checked as well. Alloys are free from any bends right now.

    • ^^^ I believe I understand what's happening. At every undulation on the road you feel as if your bike is sliding a bit and deviating from its line. Did I get it right?

If I got it right, check your cone set and its bolt.

Hey..great to hear there's a group..surely would love to join..
Well..i bought it from pune because the dealer guaranteed me that he'll deliver the bike before any other..
All bombay showrooms told more than 2 weeks..and this guy specially brought 8 bikes from delhi..4 red and 4 black..

          @Hydbiker and freakzil

Guys..as i mentioned above there were 8 bikes..
I went into the godown and saw all covered..
Opened one black and one red to see both..
And well..black had matt finish on panels..
And moreover what made the black look sad was, the panel was matt and the white strip on it was glossy..
I personally didn't like it..just my opinion..others may love it..

            All tension gone..
            Anyway..thanks guys..
It feels great to join the league..
Btw..is there any xbhp R15 group in mumbai? I'm looking to be in one..
Ohh .. I never meant to make you worried .. sorry if I did so unintentionally.
I asked as those itsy-bitsy abnormal pieces were just outstanding from that fabulous beauty of the bike. I never said that it's major prob or even a prob. But R15 looks so perfect that these small inconsistencies stand out. I had mentioned that I had seen these inconsistencies in pain quality specially around the clip-ons on many R15s.

Anyways, just enjoy the damn cool bike .. and do write a nice report .. detailing every aspect of your baby. Specially I want to know how it behaves in heavy stop-go traffic condition if you(or someone else) really commute on it.

OT: Also, someone mentioned that he got pain in palms because of too much weight on them. Can someone confirm this? Does that happen to long riders only?

Lol lowered the tyre pressure a bit and that set everything right :P Thanks for helping out though.

Hi Guys! Check the attachment, finally they advertised it through the national daily for the wider tyre and the accesories... They are using 130/70 wider tyre at the back.. and replacing the stock rear tyres to the front... Now, how intelligent is that?

And the silencer guard costs abt Rs 200 and the silencer end cap costs Rs 150 (Unless this one is badly damaged, you might just want to turn it around and use (scratches go to another side that isn't visible)

Yes this was in Nepal. They are changing those tyres coz people over here are more to a style than performance. But can't help myself.. I too will be getting it with wider tyres... coz it looks damn cool..

Read this section from Moto GP site...

For races a critical balance has to be found between grip and the endurance of the tire - with all available data being used to make the decision on whether to opt for a soft gripping tyre which will permit quicker speeds and faster lap times but wear out quickly, a harder, less sticky tyre which will be more durable but will not assist the rider as much in achieving maximum velocity, or a tyre somewhere in between the two extremes.

Normal race tires are slicks, which differ from the tires used on everyday vehicles in that they are far more adhesive to the ground but far less durable. Race tires can vary tremendously and are chosen according to the expected temperature, the type of asphalt, the demands of the bike and the riding style of riders.

To complicate matters still further, the requirements for front and rear tires can vary massively from a technical perspective and getting the choice right at both ends is critical to success on the track.

Cheerios! Now decide what you want for yourself... Happy Riding
