Btw, do you have the spoilt pilot LED of your bike which you replaced recently? i wish to have a look at the socket.

I found a nail pierced in the rear wheel, today, while cleaning the bike. Its a small nail. I am not sure if it has reached the other side of the rubber. This is my first time experience with tubeless tyres. How do I go about it? Where do I get it fixed from? I havent removed the nail yet as it may allow the air to flush out.
Leave the nail like that only until you find a drastic drop in air pressure..tubeless ones are designed for that

What has to be done if I find air pressure drop? I mean, how am I supposed to mend the puncture?

          • Some one vandalised my bike
Ripped off the Yamaha Logo using a stone from the tank, Bad scratch marks on the tank...
Used a brick (probably) and badly bruised the the side fairing .. bad mark on the engine too...

The SVC guys say that the body can be covered in the insurance so thats like 50% cover and the tank can be retouched and log would be affixed...
I am a bit jittery about the "retouch" coz i dont trust the paint quality used by them...

Oye yaar same thing happened to me & that too just yesterday.
But this thing happened in my office parking lot which is a big surprise as its a private parking only for employees
fortunately tht a$$hole didn't put any scratches and just removed the Tank logo.
can the logo be easily replaced??
also touching up the bike is a big issue from sc guys.try to find a local bike painter who's reputed to do a good job

Also have u probed further into krp exhaust?I am seriously interested to buy

AFAIK The original Logo from Yamaha is a tough nut to find, but apparently i found a guy (when) i was hunting for the lights who stocks them... lets see..

This thing happened while I was looking at a new 'office' @ Navi Mumbai ... Turbhe to be precise...
Right now I am too tempted to make the bike look like the Fiat Yamaha (but in black) and get the KRP thing installed... but at the same time I dont want to be the first guinee pig too

If you think that is the brim, you are mistaken. Wait for 5 seconds, the fuel will go a bit down&you can fill more. I suggest as soon as it comes to reserve, you fill an even amount say 10 litres, then use it till reserve again&check.
Now the reserve meter is hardly reliable. I reset the 2nd tripmeter when the reserve meter comes up during running. Later on sometimes it gets reset again, but I rely on the first time I reset it. Try my method&tell me what she returned.

Btw, do you have the spoilt pilot LED of your bike which you replaced recently? i wish to have a look at the socket.
FYI the LED is not spoilt. LEDs don't get spoilt that easily. What do you want to see-the resistors? Coz the socket is in the bike. Anyways, I don't have them now, but hopefully I will have them in a day or two. The resistors look the same as the stock pilot lamps, except that there are 4 wires in the stock bulbs vs.2 in the LED lamps, which causes inaccurate power supply&hence the flickering. I have given it to my electrician who is trying some jugaad with it. I will explain it to you when we meet.

Go to a puncture repair shop where they do tubeless also. They will force the nail out&then put in the paste which seals it off. Don't allow them to take out the tyre from the rim in anycase.
In future, I suggest you keep a tubeless repair kit with you-I got one for my bike for Rs.300 or so from a tyre shop at Sec'bad. You can get it easily anywhere. It is a must, especially when touring.

                  • I got the center stand installed yesterday and it makes a loud noise when you put bike of the stand.
@Sarvajit: I think this stand is useful for only cleaning/lubing chain because only a slight push is required to get the bike of the stand which is dangerous if you are the stand for parking. I mean the force required to take it of the stand is very less when compared to other bikes , if by mistake also someone pushes the bike it will fall.

                    • ^^^

that's because of the front heaviness of the bike.

get those el-cheapo wrist bands (or friendship bands) sold for Rs 10 or so and use it to hold the front brake by applying it on throttle grip and brake lever. if the brake is pressed, the tyre wont roll.

                      • ^^ Can't the gear be engaged instead for it to avoid rolling???

                        • ^^ gear is useful only when the bike is on side stand , if it is on center stand then the method mention by Hydbiker seems to be the only way out.

I guess your mainstand has not been installed correctly. Please check the main pin play. Mine works perfectly like my other bike's, except for the sound when it is taken off, that is due to the Glady rubber.
