Can anyone direct me to some shop where I can get a good tubeless tyre puncture repair kit?(Sarvajit and hydbiker can help me for sure...guys??) I have noticed a drastic fall in air pressure! Gotto fix the puncture. No shop near my place is equipped to fix the same.
digislayer was right-you shouldn't have pulled out the nail until you had the solution strip from the kit ready. Anyways, you can easily get it at any tyre showroom, for around Rs.300.
Btw thanks for the info on Yamalube chain spray, got it from Opal Motors today, for Rs.1400. Can't wait to use it!

        I sure missed that one.

But then, if they have set up the forged piston production system in India they should have got that to work before the R15 released into the market. Our engines were made in Indonesia. I was told by Yamaha employees that the engine blocks come directly from Indonesia - as is. Well, too many questions arise here

should be less than 80K but no idea how much it should depreciate by.

your hands are itching to try that. right? should have bought it yesterday - I cleaned my chain to a sparkle and applied OKS lube today morning

BTW, I got my center stand now. Gotta fix it yet. Thanks for the reference Srijan! As expected, the whole thing - the stand (Rs 576.50), the spring (Rs 113.83) and the Shaft (Rs 56.30) are made in Indonesia (same things from Vixion). Costed me Rs 745. Yet to get the pin to close the shaft (easily available at any automobile shop) and the rubber stopper that fixes into the silencer attachment.

It was on the main patch of the tyre. It was pierced sideways. So, thought of removing it and did. I didnt know that it would turn out this way! I'll buy the kit asap.

And, let us know how she feels like after you use the lube.

            • Hi!
I just installed a knight-hawk system on my machine yesterday. It meddles a bit with the wiring of ignition. I've fitted the system & it's working fine. However, I'm still afraid, if there would be any bad side-effects. Does anyone know of bad side-effects & what could I do to avoid those?
Also, one of the facilities is remote ignition. Is it safe to use that facility often? I know it's dumb & no use, but it sure is kool.
Please help me regarding both the issues.
              And God said, "Let there be light" and there was HID Kit. And God saw that the light was good;

I had in the past installed knight-hawk security system on my pulsar... it worked fine until when i came to know that it eats up a lot of battery power when in armed mode, whenever somebody touches the bike or hits the bike by mistake or deliberately the alarm goes on till 15seconds or so with the turn signal indicators blinking with the alarm which eats up a lot of battery, even during the rains whenever it thunders or due to very heavy rains the alarm goes on and on, i had to change my battery within a span of say 13 months...

Simple, it has a motion/vibration sensor inside it. It holds a battery inside it,so doesn't need to be connected to the bike's wiring. Whenever it senses a sudden vibration(when someone hits the bike), or a sudden movement(when someone sits on it or tries to fiddle with the bike), it gets triggered and goes on. It sounds alarm continuously for 35 seconds even if the miscreant leaves the bike and tries to get away. After 35 seconds, it returns to idling and will get triggered again only when someone tries fiddling with the bike again.

We can fit it under the seat and keep changing the battery regularly when they get discharged!

What is the key for? Do we have to fix it with screws or just leave it under the seat(I could see brackets for fixing it up)? Will it not cause any annoying bang bang under the seat if left unfixed?

Thanks Bro! My usecase is slightly different. My bilke is most always in the area protected by watchmen. Still, they miss it sometimes (human error) if anybody is tampering with bike or sitting on it or showing off by sitting on it. I just want to ensure that they don't ask me 'To hum kya pooree time aap ke bike ke paas rakhwali kare kya'. Now, I've provided solutio to what they complain.

Still thanks for the input. Do you have opinion about that auto start? (or any of you)

Well, it has to be simple screwed on to the bike using the bracket which's attached to it. The key is like a switch, the alarm will be "armed" when you lock it with the key, and will be "unarmed" when you unlock it using the same key. It's for turning the alarm on/off.

yeah i used it whenever i wanted to surprise the onlookers or if anybody fidgeted with my bike, otherwise it is useless, sometimes it used to start by itself while the keys keys were in my pocket.

Finally got rid of the cat con and changed the afr the bike feels much better in the mid range and the bike revs more freely

                              • Hi guys.. It might be a little early for me to post under this thread, as don't own an R15 yet. I plan to book it in the next few days though.
I think this thread is simply amazing..!! You guys have discussed so many things that were always on my mind regarding this bike.. And many more things too..!! This thread rocks (just like the R15)..

I just needed some inputs from you guys on the protective coating one can apply on R15..
I had actually gone to Pacer Motors (in Banaglore) over the weekend to get a feel of the bike before i actaully book it.
Met an R15 owner there, who had gote his bike coated. The bike was shining like anything (entire body, including the balck plastic parts around the tank). The SS guy told me its a lacquer coating, and costs 5,000 bucks..!! Isn't that too much? Have any of you got this coating done on your R15s? Can it be done by oneself, or has to got done outside only? Is there a comparatively cheaper alternative to the lacquer coating?
As I undersatnd, R15's surface is prone to scratches, and hence a coating seems inevitable.
R15 owners from Bangalore, please do chip in..!!

                                My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
