If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

See guys. Its a beautifull machine with a gorgeous paint finish. Dont ruin it with various home-made cleaning ideas. Petrol, especially, fades the paint on the bike.

For chain cleaning and lubrication - TriBoCor Chain clean and lubricant or Motul
For washing the bike - WaxPol Car shampoo
For after-wash polishing and waxing - Waxpol Protectol or Waxpol Silky Touch
For once in a month wax polish - Formula1 Carnauba wax

Dont use petrol/diesel/coconut oil etc on the chain. Stick to the above mentioned products. I use them and my bike is like the showroom piece even now.

And pertrol additives, its a strict no-no. The bike's engine is designed to run on regular unleaded petrol. Just use that. Stick to one brand from one petrol bunk as much as possible.
          D'oh!

He is talking about petrol additives which claim to increase the FE.. Not about cleaning the bike

There is a thread in the DIY section

Another theory is that some link inside the bike, on the chassis is broken This could cause serious vibrations too.... Anyway, get your bike checked once..

I think your idle RPM tuning is a little off No worries, you can re-tune it back to factory settings yourself with just a screw driver. The exact procedure is mentioned in the DIY section Look it up.

                    Here's the link: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...-idle-rpm.html

The LAG you experience when you suddenly open the throttle could be because of insufficient air going into the engine, because of which, it is unable to breathe properly. Definitely an air filter issue..

thanks fr the link bro, will try it out later as im out of station for a while now..wont be able to ride my baby
btw about that being an air filter issue is highly unlikely because i got it cleaned just a few days back and it still persists.
if nothing else then all i can think of is that originally the air filter box(which houses the filter) was straight, after a few repairs made by the mechs, the filter box is tilted towards the right, on telling them this they say it is a non issue, it doesnt matter..ill post some pics when im back..but could this be an issue? or something else..
after monday and tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!!

I use System G as I have been using the same in my car. Its works well.

Yes, I did mention that in my post as well..... The bikes tuned to run on regular unleaded fuel of 90 octane or around that. Additives are unnecessary..

Or you could use XtraPremium, Speed or Shell Super. They contain cleansing additives in them be default. Saves you the trouble

                          • Yeah.. You are right Fuel addictives are NO NO.. But the No is for regular use only.. It is sure that the injectors will get clogged in such an easy manner coz we are getting that "GOOD QUALITY" petrol here in India... THe injector cleaner addictives help us to clean the injector's efficiency. These can be used when we feel that we are riding with a clogged injector. We can use it in regular intervals like in each 15K km.. I think it works.
If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

                            • most of the car manufacturers refer to use additives once after some thousand kms....as our bike is also a fuel injected one so I thought that we may have to clean the injectors in it...I dont think that fuels like xtra premium helps clean the injectors...
