it is in such a position at present that it can't be tightened anymore!!
btw when he tightened, for some time the gear shifts were smooth, but now they're not. if incorrect chain slack were to be the culprit it wouldn't have made a difference right?

just 2000kms down on the odo should clutch plates be gone so sooon???

guys please throw some light on this....

man, if you get the limited edition, well and good. if not, yellow looks equally good and one more benefit is that getting the lovely motul chain spray out of the white rims on the limited one would be hell too difficult, and it just makes an already ''public attracting'' bike more flashy, thus increasing the chances of some idiot coming and sitting on your bike when you're not around and messing it up..

wheelies?? noway!! i'm no stunt maniac. what i do different from most of the riders though is that i down-shift the gears one by one, not progressively. i like it that way and had read it as being a good practice.
and yes im running on the yamalube ss as of now..
get your shifter spring tension checked, that was the culprit in my case, after i put a new spring, and put in 3M gearbox additive , my gearshifts are butter smooth again
There is a thin line between adventure and madness,...God must have made me myopic for a reason!!!

which spring are you talking about? the svc guys are more dumb than we think they are..if i tell one of them - "bhaiya, gear shifts hard lag rahe hai, shifter spring tension check kar lo" he'll think to himself " eeks ye kya bola??" and will check something else only..lol!! so for sake of explaining it to them, explain it to me..post some pic if possible..

Where are the vibrations? clattery? Tappets would be the obvious remedy, but 4200Kms is too less for a tappet adjustment. Nevertheless, try getting them checked. Let me check in the next g2g or if you're coming on Sunday. I did have a little minor vibrations at 13000kms, but they were around the Front Winshield/Visor and tank. They were done away with. Nothing Major.
Ya vibes from the engine. If i touch my thigh to the side fairing then i can feel all the vibes and all. Also, seems that my tappets are also clattering. And i have vibes in my handlebars too!! Performance is there but now i have a feeling that it has dropped marginally at the top end. As in the bike does not seem to be revving absolutely cleanly.

Now, My Tank now has slight vibrations too. But, it's minor. And, get your tappets checked, if it's that loose marble sound at idling. Vibes in Handlebars are mostly due to the Engine vibrations you're talking out, though get a check on your Handle Play. Check slain slackness. If it's too slack, it slightly adds to the Vibrations.!

Personally, the rims on the limited edition shouldn't have been painted white. Makes the already skinny tires look skinnier. Thats the only reason I steered away from it. Otherwise, it would have been a killer combo! If you get the LE, get the rims painted BLACK :P Will look sexxxxxxxY

                    • Today a friend dropped his bike on my R15 and I feel terrible The sticker on side fairing got torn off a little bit and the engine lid have a line on it

Anyway I can get just the stickers of side fairing and get the line removed by repainting or something?

The stickers aren't available at Yamaha. You will wither have to buy the fairing, or get the sticker made locally.
What is the engine lid you're talking about? A pic for reference pls.

                          • Guys,

I have found that the height of footstep (left and right) from ground are uneven. (the left side of footstep height is lower then right side of foot step height from gound)

Please let me know your R15 have same things which i have?

PS: As attched the picture for more clearfy

Your bike is on the side stand. Keep the bike upright and then measure.

Buddy, should I need to explain/clarify that when I put my bike on side stand?

I measure it when bike on main stance on clean and even surface.
